Body Shop body Butter. Almond, Cocoa Butter, Strawberry are my favorites.

Dry Skin Care
For dry skin use a creamy cleanser to melt away dirt. Leave it on your skin before sweeping it away with cotton wool. Splash cold water onto your face to clean and refresh your skin. Use a thick cream moisturiser to seal in as much moisture as possible.

Home remedies for dry skin
1) Make a puree of 1 banana and 1 papaya, peach or avacado. Apply to skin. Leave on for at least 20 minutes then rinse with warm water, followed by a moisturizer of natural margarine or natural vegetable oil.

2) Apply natural mayonnaise, either homemade or from natural foods store. Massage into skin, leave on for 15-20 minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Don't use any lotions with mineral oil or petrolatum in them. I have done some research and also from personal experience and talking with people found that this is true. The mineral oil actually sits on your kin making it seem like you have soft skin but it does not penetrate. And it actually is pulling moisture out of your skin! (no Vaseline, no regular baby oil --- that just mineral oil and fragrance) By using products without mineral oil or petrolatum your skin can actually breathe and you will find that over time you actually need less and less lotions. A great salt scrub in the shower helps alot in the winter too -- the oils soak in your skin and you may not even need lotion for a day or 2. Just make sure again it's all natural oils and if you can get one without added fragrance or colors you will be better off as well. good luck!

Get your self a body butter from the Body shop, these are really thick and keep your skin moisturised for up to 24hrs, the shea on is great for really dry skin, but normal dry try coconut or mango.

I use Arbonne's Body Care duo and it comes in a gorgeous tote! I get the whole thing for just $20!

The set includes Nutrimin C Body Serum and Nutrimin C Body lotion. When used together, my skin is amazing. My dry heels have gotten softer and stopped craking and flaking, my knees are smoother and so are my elbows and my skin doesn't look old anymore! I love that stuff! My daughter loves the way it smells, in fact, she just took some with her to school today to share with her teachers!

I can show you real before and after pictures. If you'd like a free sample, just ask!

A supermarket brand baby lotion for all over use. Simple moisturising cream- is fab too. Superdrug vitamin e cream.

For very dry skin- a 'butter' style cream is good such as bodyshop mango butter or coco butter.

Also suggest using bath oil once a week- but be careful- it can get very slippery. I slipped out of the bath once after using it and hit my head on the loo.

use baby oil while still in the shower and dry off. Your skin will absord the oil and stay soft and smooth all day. Winter and summer are the hardest seasons on a persons skin. During winter the skins get taught and leathery. During the summer your skin is aching to breath that is why you sweat so much.

Low humidity, coupled with heavier clothing, and longer, hotter showers and baths can leave your skin feeling dry and itchy. Most people start slathering on lotion and hope for the best, but there are more effective ways to prevent and combat winter skin.
The skin is made up of several layers of cells and thousands of oil glands. The oil that the glands produce keeps the skin from losing moisture and makes it supple and soft. But your skin is constantly losing moisture into the air and every time you wash your skin, you strip away much of the oil, letting more moisture evaporate and drying the skin. Be careful to not overuse products containing alpha-hydroxy acids. They exfoliate the top layer of the skin, which is good for dry skin, but they leave the new layer of skin unprotected to the bitter winds.

Don’t forget to protect your lips. Look for a lip balm with an SPF in it to help prevent chapped lips.

Apply moisturizers to skin immediately after a bath or shower while your skin is still wet. Putting on a cream, ointment or lotion helps trap the water in the upper layers of the skin and decreases dryness and itching

Drink lots of water. Internal hydration keeps skin cells plump and healthy. Water also helps transport nutrients to skin cells, keeping them nourished.

Water-rich vegetables like leafy greens and green-skinned squashes are great for internal hydration as well as skin nourishment. Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks, which are dehydrating.

Cold weather can cause the body’s systems to stagnate. Eating warm cooked foods, drinking warm water or herb/spice teas and moderate daily exercise can help improve circulation, digestion and elimination, keeping skin healthy and clear

Put away that bar of soap or shower gel, and switch to a milder, gentler cleanser for both face and body. Soap can irritate and exacerbate dry skin conditions.

ground oatmeal or chickpea flour mixed with a little milk. If your skin is naturally dry, add some almond meal and a few drops of aloe vera or sesame oil. Don’t scrub excessively, and dab skin with a soft towel after the bath or shower--just enough to remove excess moisture.

I use HEMP body butter from The Body shop (for extremely dry skin). It smells gorgeous, is inexpensive and really makes my skin soft. The shop also has a new range of Aloe Vera products which are good too but unperfumed. Stay Beautiful!

At night I use a thick cream and in the morning I'll use a light lotion like St. Ives or Vaseline. I have soft skin all winter long.

Try Liz Earle face cream and she also does a body cream. You can buy off QVC website. The are very cheap and get great reviews in beauty mags. Also, they dont contain crap as a lot of the high street chemists do. Also, L'Occitane sell some lovely body creams.
