Kittens are getting bigger and are not crying all the time, but mothers nipples just don't seem to have any milk?? How do I know that the fact that they sleep and seem content is not them getting weaker?? I am new to this so, it may be just me worrying too much, but I don't want anything to happen to the babies..

weigh the kittens every day to make sure they are in fact gaining weight,my cat gave birth a few weeks ago, everything seemed fine and i thought he was getting enough milk but it turned out he wasn't he was just getting weaker and weaker,he slept all the time but didn't cry because he just didn't have enough energy, please try and get them to a vet to make sure and like i said weigh them daily(you could always go pick up a can of kitten milk and a bottle and try that too! hope that helps!!!!

If they are growing, then they are getting adequate nutrition. A kitten receiving inadquate nutrition would not grow. There is also a difference between being listless and being contented; kittens, like newborn humans, will sleep a LOT.

It's you worrying too much.

The kittens are doing all they are meant to do - gaining weight and sleeping happily.

If they had been hungry you would have known as they would have made a lot of noise and been continually trying to feed.

They are doing just fine. They would cry a lot if they were hungry.

Just weigh them every couple of days and see how they are doing. Ours are 10 days old and they are putting on about 30 grams every two days.
