These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.

1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.

2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.

3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.

4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.

5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.

6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

The Jehovah's Witness organization has several objectives, among them:
1. Glorify God.
2. Obey Christ.
3. Teach and encourage congregation
4. Protect and warn congregation
5. Preach to mankind about coming Kingdom blessings
6. Warn mankind about coming Kingdom judgment

Actually there is no such thing as a "true religion".

All religion is man-made including what the JWs espouse.

We are not on this earth for the sake of relgion but to be
in a right relationship with our heavenly Father and the
only way to do that is to come to Jesus Christ who is the
Way, the Truth and the Light.

JWs are teaching the traditions handed down by the Watchtower. l have read a whole lot of the Watchtower materials over the years. Ten years ago one of my cousins gave me a copy of the NWT saying I would find it to be better than the several Bibles I had.

I did not want the NWT but I prayed about it. My heavenly Father told me that each time I wanted to research a particular Bible verse I should look it up in the NWT just as I did with my other Bibles. There were many differences so I prayed again. This time I told my heavenly Father that I realized that my cousin and I could both be wrong BUT we could not both be telling the Truth about Him. If I was closer to the Truth I asked God to make a way for me to share the Good News with my cousin and other JW relatives, but if they were closer to the Truth then He would have to change me.

After that prayer I was inspired to read Deuteronomy 18:20-22 which ruled out any possibility of the JWs being close to the Truth. They have made so many prophecies regarding the end of time and have had to repeatedly change the story told in the Watchtower through the decades.

But God didn't stop with showing me that the JWs aren't telling the Truth, He showed me that the liberal church I belonged to grieved His Spirit. I stayed awhile longer to try to inspire others to check more carefully into God's Word but sought out a Bible-believing church a year after my cousin left the JWs.

JWs may be nice people but they do not tell the Truth about Jesus Christ and Him crucified. In fact there is an excellent book by a former JW elder who left after he learned the truth about Jesus. Jehovah's Witnesses Answered Verse by Verse.
I believe his newsletter is called Comments from the Friends.

Edit - Right after I answered this my daughter sent me this link. I read it briefly and it looks excellent. Check it out for yourself.

That is all very noble .... but is there a question in there anywhere? This 'novela' really doesn't belong in a question forum. Additionally, if you live your example, others will come to you and ask you where you obtain your inspiration. It's not necessary to "plug" a religion as though it's a product on the market. Peace.

The word "true" does not apply to religions. Truth is not a goal of religion. Religions exist and persist to the extent that they attract new followers and retain their current followers. Telling the truth is not a very good way to meet those goals. Instead, it's important for a religion to convince followers and potential followers that they are special in some way if they adhere to that religion.

That, of course, is why you're posting this question, as a matter of fact. Your religion has done something to you to cause you to do this, and it has done that in order that it might survive. You're acting unwittingly as a tool of your religion, and ironically enough, demonstrating evolution in action.

Weeelllll hon, the only problem is the bible doesn't teach men to love their wives as their own bodies, it says men should love their wives as Christ loved the church.

So if your religion practices that which is not in the bible (and it does) then you are violating your own standards. Therefore, not a true religion.

But a good try!

the only true religion is Jehovah Witnesses. praise Jah, we are the only religion who are no part of the world and love everyone. there bibles in the king james also tells them that only 144,000 will go to heaven and the rest will inherit the earth, they all think they are going to heaven when they die. they are always saying we are a cult and brainwashed. we are not brainwashed or a cult. the kingdom halls are the only places that we all love one other. in churches, they have black churches and white churches. they never worship together. we are in 235 lands and no matter what state or place we go we are studying the same books together in many languages

how can you ask a question such as the one you are asking, when you are so biased?

your details only tell about christianity, due to the bible verses.

your idea of "the true relgion" is completely different from many other people's idea.

if you truly wanted an answer, instead of a confirmation of your way of thinking from other christians, you would not have added any of those details.
