"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say unto me, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21-22

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48

or

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God...Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of law." Romans 3:23-28

"In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel." Romans 2:16

Who is Paul to claim God will judge men according to the words of Paul?

What are Paul's words compared to the Word of Jesus? Who is Paul to gainsay Jesus? He is but a man who killed Christians.

As usual, you've taken things out of context and twisted their meaning to suit your own philosophical needs.

Good luck with that.

Don't condemn the person asking the question; bring forth proof and/or evidence and substantiate or qualify your rebuttal. Calling names and denouncing the person asking the question as ignorant or taking something out of context AIN'T answering the question. Stop with the slogans and propaganda nonsense and bring forth an intelligent answer or keep quiet! He's asking a question and you would keep him from asking? Is this typical of Christians whenever cornered with a question for which you have no reply for... ? Doesn't say much for you as a Christian... sounds more like you're ready to, pardon the pun, crucify him for asking or to take up arms to persecute him like in the middle ages when anyone questioned the Supreme Law of the Church's OPINION! I am reminded of Galileo... Are you guilty of being a genius of your own opinion?

By the way, for your information, they were not known as "Christians" at that time! The term became "popular" at a later time, after most if not all apostles were dead.

There were corruptions and misinterpretations made and concessions and compromises made during the heated debates after Emperor Constantine (314?-325?AD) ORDERED the religious leaders to come to an agreement and put forth a common Bible so that there would be no feuding or warring amongst the so-called Christian sects that sprang up all over. Some "books" by the Apostles were rejected, the same ones that were also "God-inspired"... and letters by the other apostles but those particular religious leaders debated over their different interpretations and differing views and there were indeed compromises, concessions and changes made to confirm to those with differing opinions and interpretations to suit their own personal agendas and desires to lead and receive offerings in the name of He who would've been appalled if he would have suspected that a new religion would arise from his death and resurrection... in spite of the original words which were presumably and supposedly "God-inspired" and, therefore, not alterable by mere mortals...! So, the question begs an honest reply with facts, evidence and honest intent, not condemnation for asking!

Where do we find the words of Jesus? The same Bible wherein we find the words of Paul, yes? Who wrote the words of Jesus? Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter. Who inspired these ones to record what they wrote? God. Who inspired Paul to record what he wrote? Was it not God?

On what basis can we say, then that what Paul wrote was out of arrogance and what the others wrote was out of divine inspiration?

For if Paul corrupted the teachings, it reasonably follows that God allowed it. Would God allow such a thing? In the oft-repeated and inspired words of the apostle Paul: "By no means!" (English Standard Version)

Nothing that you wrote shows that Paul gainsayed Jesus. I've read the words of Christ and the words of Paul numerous times and see no contradiction; it is all easily synthesizable. Paul's ministry was given the stamp of approval by the other apostles (read Acts) and by Christ Himself (again, read Acts).

I am having a little problem with Paul in my studies also.
He proclaimed himself a prophet and the twelfth apostle. Were as the the others were appointed. Something not right about all this twelfth apostle stuff,

Paul was a misogynistic bigot.he thought people should do what he said because he was chosen to preach, a lot like many preachers today.

"He is but a man who killed Christians."

Too bad he was so incompetent and didn't get 'em all when there were so few. We'd have a much better world today.
