Why not go to the Police and find out after giving all the details of the marriage and threats from the family members thereafter, if any.

If you have reason to believe you are in danger of harm, you can ask the court to give you a restraining order to prohibit the people you are afraid of from coming within a certain distance of you. The police, sadly, will not do anything unless a crime has been committed. Have you been threatened or are you just afraid?

From your name I would suspect you are of south Asian origin. Look for a community support group. But your best bet is to try and make peace with your new wife's family.

If you have married a Muslim girl, then your guess will become true.
Lodge a complaint with the jurisdictional police. You can show them the certificate of marriage. No need to register again in the police station.

If you had given your address, we could have helped you.

Police help would depend on depth of your pocket & support of political bigwigs. You can still apply for protection. If your in-laws are powerfull financially or politically or both you are doomed. Move away to a safer place, or apply in district court for help.
You can file an anticipatory FIR with the local police station. Another option is take help of elders & bigwigs or common friends & try to convince them to accept this marriage. third option is buy a gun.

Defend yourself but must not harm the family of your spouse. If you really want protection, report the threat to the police headquarters or file a case against them.

If you are both consenting, legal age adults, then I would assume that you have the right to do as you please.
If you have gotten specific threats, and can prove them, then I would go to the authorities.
How does your wife feel about this?
Does she fear reprisal as well?
If so, and if no specific threat can be determined, then see about a restraining order, and let the family know that it will be placed on them if they burden you, and your new home.
Congrads and good luck.

No one can harm you if both of you are adults. You need not register marriage at a police station. You have to register it at the Marriage Registrar's office. (I am presuming you have registered your marriage at the right place). No one can harm you.

before everything, are you particular they'll attempt to damage you? perhaps they are in basic terms in wonder and want time to get used to it? have you ever tried chatting with them? Are you in a difficulty with regards to a fragile difficulty (alongside with marriage between diverse faiths or cultures)? it is continually conceivable so that you'll report to the police notwithstanding the chance that any violence might want to happen must be proved. Even then, going to the police isn't continually going to paintings, esp if those who opt to damage you would possibly want to flow to any legths. regrettably, superb is to flow away, letting very, very few human beings comprehend and stay away for a lengthy time period before you initiate telling others.

I don't think that they would harm you. If they do threaten you, you can always get a restraining order, but that would probably not sit well with your girlfriend. I sugest taking things one step at a time. First things first, you have to tell her parents before they find out! That just makes them even more pissed off!

Depends on the age of you both.
If you are majors (in terms of age) according to your country's law, then police should give you a cover from any kind of threat from anyone in the world.
