I want to protect my heart which is why i play hard to get, but at the same time i wonder if i push the good girls away. Also if doing this can weed out the bad ones. I hear that women are turned off by men who are needy or clingy. so by me playing hard to get i don't show this weekness i have of being needy or clingy.

We don't like games, sorry. The chance you take in a relationship is getting hurt so accept it and get over it. Games are for children. And it is ok to be a bit clingy or needy but be yourself because by "acting" you are not only pushing good women away but you are not being yourself and when you finally do, that girl may push you away.
