The Truth About Muhammad
by Robert Spencer
Meet the real Muhammad:
Muhammad's bizarre reaction to his first "revelation": "I will go to the top of the mountain and throw myself down that I may kill myself"
The heretical Christian who convinced Muhammad he was a prophet – and may have taught him his erroneous views of Christianity
Islamic borrowings from Judaism, Christianity, and Zoroastrianism – and Muhammad's enraged replies to charges that he borrowed material rather than received actual divine revelations
The "revelation" that allowed Muhammad to marry his beautiful daughter-in-law
The strange incident in Muhammad's life that makes it virtually impossible to prove rape in Islamic countries today
The real "Satanic Verses" incident (not the Salman Rushdie version): how Muhammad's attempt to win over his opponents ended with his saying he had been inspired not by God, but by Satan
How the Qur'an's teaching on warfare against unbelievers developed – with constant war to establish the hegemony of Islamic law as the last stage
The first year of the Muslim calendar: not when Muhammad was born or became a prophet, but when he became a warlord
How Muhammad used the graphic lure of Islamic Paradise to urge his warriors to fight furiously to extend his rule
"Kill every Jew who comes into your power": why Muhammad became so angry with both Jews and Christians – with disastrous consequences that are still playing out in the world today
The momentous command by Muhammad that led to good being identified with anything that benefited the Muslims, and evil with anything that harmed them --without reference to any larger moral standard
Muhammad's child bride – and the terrible consequences his marriage to a nine-year-old still has in the Islamic world
"This is the caravan of the Quraysh possessing wealth. It is likely that Allah may give it to you as booty": how Muhammad gave divine sanction to the Muslims' bloody raids
"War is deceit": the permission Muhammad gave his followers to lie in order to gain an advantage over their enemies
How Muhammad broke the principal treaty he entered into, again setting a pattern for Muslim states thereafter
Muhammad's commands to his followers to wage perpetual war against non-Muslims, including Jews and Christians
Muhammad on women's rights: women "are prisoners with you having no control of their persons"
"If justice is not to be found with me then where will you find it?" Why Muhammad still stands for Muslims as the supreme model for human behavior
"I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula, and will not leave any but Muslims" – and other statements by Muhammad that contemporary jihadists take very seriously
Islamic tolerance? The onerous tax burden and other discriminatory regulations mandated for non-Muslims under Islamic law
How Muhammad ordered the killing of apostates from Islam
The massacre of a Jewish tribe by Muhammad that was invoked by modern-day jihadists at the beginning of Israel's July 2006 operations against Hizballah in Lebanon
"Embrace Islam, and your lives and property will be safe": Muhammad's threatening letters to the rulers of the lands around Arabia
Muhammad's frequent avowals that the Muslims would overcome the empires bordering on Arabia and one day stand as masters of the world
"I have been made victorious with terror" – and other statements of Muhammad on his deathbed

A Muslim accepts and beleives that Allah exists and that he is the one.
A Muslim also accepts and beleives that Muhammed(piece be upon him) is the messenger of Allah.
(I give witness that there is no God but Allah,he is alone,he has no partner)(I give witness that Muhammed is his last prophet)thsi is kalima as shahadah in arbi hope u know
A Muslim therefor worship Allah in the way Allah has prescribed in the Quran.
He tries 2 obey Allah commands.
A Muslim tries 2 do good 2 other people.
If he make mistake and does wrong he repents and make up his mind not 2 repeat his wrong doing.
THIS IS THE MEANING OF SUBMISSION 2 ALLAH 4 A MUSLIM

Thank you for this question.
There are many stories in the hadith about people who came to the prophet Muhammad (saw) and asked him what they needed to do in order to enter Islam.
The stories are fascinating, you might learn from them. But to boil it down, one really needs to perform what are known as the 5 pillars of Islam, namely:
1. Attest to faith by believing in your heart the shahada.
2. Establish 5 daily prayers
3. Pay Zakat
4. Fast for Ramadhan
5. If you are financially and physically able, then perform Hajj at least once in your life.
And I would add also that one needs to have the intention of worship to God in one's heart.
Also there is a story of a nomadic Arab that came to Muhammad's (saw) presence and asked him how he could be a good Muslim. Muhammad (saw) said, three times, "Do not be angry."
And Allah knows best.
Peace and Blessings,
Salim

Islam main point is the unity of only one God, and Mohamed is the last messenger of God and teaching of both Mosses and Jesus were applicable only to time of their existence and both massages were from the only one God and Moslems can not be Moslems unless they believe in both the old and the new testaments Islam as religion is based on five pillars: submission to one only GOD and Prophet Mohammed is his last messenger. Prayer five times a day. Pilgrimage to macca to the house, which was built by Abraham "the black stone". Fasting the month of Ramadan. Charity to poor people.
Look what God is saying about the issue:"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84)

a Muslim is a person who is obedient to God, who places his/her will after the Will of God -- and by following this attains peace not only in his/her life, but also other's life. so how can one become a Muslim -- by beleiving in heart that -- There is no God but One God and Muhammed-pbuh is his Messenger. now one may ask why confirm Muhammed-pbuh to be God's Messenger?. the answer lies in the oath a muslim takes -- Imaan-al-Mufassal.
i beleive in Allah, in His Messengers, in His Angels, in His Books, in Last Day (Day of Judgement), in the fact that all good and bad is due to to Allah, and in Life after Death.
so a Muslim accepts all of the 1,24,000 Messengers -pbut but it is not so in other religions. they have a few Messengers while leave out the rest of them. and another religion may have a set of Messengers they beleive in -- but none of the other religions will confirm or accept other prophets of God.
now who is a Muslim --- a one who follows the commandments given to him.
Tawheed -- There is no God but One God
Salah -- prayer 5 times/day
Zakah -- charity to poor and needy
Sawm -- fasting from dawn to dusk, for those who can
Hajj -- pilgrimage to Holy Ka'bah once in a life time, for those who can
i will give you a verse from the Qu'ran which says who a True Muslim is.
Al-Baqara | 286 verses | The Calf سÙرة اÙبÙرة
Sura #2 | Madina
177 It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces to the East and the West; but righteous is he who believeth in Allah and the Last Day and the angels and the Scripture and the prophets; and GIVETH WEALTH, for love of Him, to KINSFOLK and to ORPHANS and the NEEDY and the WAYFARER and to those who ask, and to SET SLAVES FREE; and observeth PROPER WORSHIP and PAYETH THE POOR-DUE. And those who keep their treaty when they make one, and the PATIENT in TRIBULATION and ADVERSITY and time of STRESS. Such are they who are SINCERE. Such are the Allah-fearing.
Aal-e-Imran | 200 verses | The family of Imran سÙرة آ٠عÙ
راÙ
Sura #3 | Madina
200 O ye who believe! ENDURE, outdo all others in endurance, be ready, and observe your duty to Allah, in order that ye may succeed
Al-Maeda | 120 verses | The Table Spread سÙرة اÙÙ
ائدة
Sura #5 | Madina
8 O ye who believe! Be STEADFAST WITNESSES for Allah in EQUALITY, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. DEAL JUSTLY, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do.
9 Allah hath PROMISED those who believe and do GOOD WORKS: Theirs will be FORGIVENESS and IMMENSE REWARD.
thus just praying or fasting is not enough -- one has to endure to the maximum of their ability as Allah says -- I Love the As-Sabeereen (the patient ones).
hope i helped. have a nice day.
