Was issued two tickets in NJ- 1 for uninsured vehicle and the other for failing to show license and was scheduled to go to court. However court date was after my 90 day visa waiver and had no choice but to leave the country. Because I was unable to go to court, is there a warrant out for my arrest? Am afraid that there may be charges against my name at customs and be refused entry or be arrested. How do I go about this?

Thanks to the few who answered without the ignorance like the others. To add to this post is, that if I was making excuses about giong to court then there'll be NO way that i'd waste my time trying to sort this out all the way from Australia!

I hope there is a warrant and it is served when they catch you. Stop coming to our country and disrespecting us and our laws.

Contact the proper authorities in the US and make it right. Pay the fines. Depends on how bad you want to get back into the US. And contact the court and offer to show up, for real this time, no excuses. All this can be done by email, from anywhere on the globe except North Korea. Yeah, a judge probably issued a bench warrant and since you're an alien it's on any number of federal databases. So you're probably well and truly screwed.

When you come back, there will probably not be any charges at customs so you'll probably be able to come back without getting arrested. However, if you voluntarily go to the court house and pay for the tickets{ as there are no statute of limitations on traffic tickets} you should be cleared and not have to serve any time behind bars...........

Yes-I had a friend that this happened to while in Florida many years ago and an arrest warrant was issued. They paid the fines.

you probably will be refused entry, if you are allowed back in you ll probably be arrested to pay the fines and then deported, unless you can prove diplomatic immunity. i would check with the us consulate in your country. before you attempt to re-enter possibly you can take care of it there. get a receipt!!!!
