i was saved through a television ministry... so i think most are great. my fave is "ask the pastor." its local, people call in bible questions, and a panel of pastors from different denominations answer them.

I think the more you come to know God's Word, you learn discernment. Just like "real life" pastors, there are good ones and false ones.
Attend a church that you trust and that can teach you. Watch out for the "prosperity Gospel" that they preach on TV and in some churches. God's blessings don't always come in monetary forms.
Billy Graham & any members of his family can be trusted. I have friends that say Joyce Meyer is a good teacher, but like I said, you have to have discernment.
I've found good teachers on AM radio.

Randy and Paula White - Pure truth without a word that makes you feel worse when it is over.

Many might say that they are "money motivated", but knowing them PERSONALLY, and attending their church for 8 years now, I know first hand that they know the teachings of God in that it takes money to run a ministry. They go into 2/3 of the world with their ministry (not just television) feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and providing medical care to those who need it.

At a local level, they have sown incredible amounts of money into those who are in need. Can a poor ministry/person help like this. I think not.

You can also watch the services LIVE at http://www.withoutwalls.org on Thursday evenings and on Sundays

Nothing can replace attending church services though.

Television ministries are good especially for those who are unable to go to church because of sickness. They can present a view never thought of. I don't agree with them all the time but the same is true with most pastors, I do not agree with everything they say all the time either but I can still learn as long as they teach the word, we can agree to disagree on small things. I like James Robison and John Hagee.

Hi there. I was saved through a television ministry too. My current favorite is Paula White -- I find her incredibly inspiring. She's a dynamic speaker and has an amazing story about how God took her from a rather hopeless situation and used her to preach the Gospel. They have an article on her on the CBN website entitled "Turning Trash into Treasure" although cbn.com is down at this moment.

For the most part they do an excellent job of preaching the word of God; however, a lot of them are very money-motivated, which turns me off to them. I teach people to give because it is very important to learn to give. I never stump for money, though. Most of my preaching is to the poor or to prison inmates, so preaching for bucks is pointless. Because I am free of money pressures, I am allowed by God to have complete freedom in my preaching (I do not have to worry how my message will be received for fear of offending a donor).

Watching television evangelists is a good way to learn about the Bible and how to apply Bible principles, but i would like to ask you to fins a good Bible-believing church to fellowship with. You cannot fellowship with the TV set. Church is all about fellowship with like-minded Christians. The only way to decide which church to fellowship with is select one that you feel God wants you to go to , then go and listen to the pastor preach. If he preaches the Bible to the letter, then you have probably found the right church. Do not look for the perfect church, because as soon as you walk into the front door it will no longer be perfect----in other words, there is no such thing. God bless you, sister, and may the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

My favorite one is Rev. Robert Tilton, who is the poster-boy for religious fraud (Hinn is down there too). Religion is the ultimate con, it is government protected, tax free and the product they sell doesn't have to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. No wonder so many people jump on this manured money wagon.
You have to love John Hagee who butchers the English language, (love the way he butchers the word "orgy). The difference between the Rev. John Hagee and the Hindenburg ............... One is a fat Nazi gasbag and the other one was a dirigible

I would have to say my fav is Pastor John Hagee. He speaks the truth, plain and simple. I have met he and his wife Diana and they are charming people.
Joyce Meyer is another I like. I have seen her many times at conferences.
