it's well known that testosterone levels are highest in the morning, so yes, it is generally true. Not always though.

Men wake up with erections. That's just how it is. They use that for a test of impodence. If a guy who has trouble getting it up with a partner but regularly wakes up with an erection. Then they know it's a psychological and not physical problem.
