Thank you for this question.

First of all Muhammad (saw) is dead. Therefore he does not hate nor love anyone now. Your use of the present tense "does" in your question indicates a basic illiteracy in you. Or perhaps your native tongue is not English. Or perhaps your anger or fear has gotten in the way of your grammatical skills.

Be that as it may. I am almost certain that you did not read the whole Quran in order to find this verse so I am supposing that you are recieving your information about the Quran from someone/somewhere else. Why do you act like a sheep? Don't you want to know the truth on your own?

I have no idea where you got this translation of 2:64 but it is incorrect. The translation that comes from Yusuf Ali (ra) is:

002.064 But ye turned back thereafter: Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah to you, ye had surely been among the lost.

Even the next verse does not single out "Jews"

002.065 And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."

Then a few verses later even Musa is speaking to his people to remind them of their duty to God.

The importance of these verses is not who is being spoken to but rather that we must gain knowledge of what God wants of us and then once we gain this knowledge, to bring it into our hearts so strongly that we "fall in love" with God and want our lives to reflect the ways in which he wants us to live.

And Allah knows best.

Peace and Blessings,

Salim

here are three previous verses and the verse that you mentioned only translated corectly:
2:62. Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

2:63. And remember We took your covenant and We raised above you (The towering height) of Mount (Sinai) : (Saying): "Hold firmly to what We have given you and bring (ever) to remembrance what is therein: Perchance ye may fear Allah."

2:64. But ye turned back thereafter: Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah to you, ye had surely been among the lost.

2:65. And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."

what you have mentioned r words of Quran, word of Quran is God's word.
Muhammad(pbuh) hated no one,He was prophet sent to whole humanity.nothing in Quran is said by Muhammad,n if u want to know y God said this about jews is because,Islam is the final destination,n as jews always, since the days islam was revealed on Muhammad, were against it,so God warned Muslims several times about the conspiracies they used to play at that time.n warned jews too, that God will judge ur deeds on Dooms day.
dont mean to offend anyone's feelings.hope this clears out.

As you can plainly see, religion of peace notified you of my so-called "violation" with total prejudice and bigotry which caused the deletion of my answer. I don't mind losing points but I do question the irregularity in your enforcement of the Yahoo! Please be guided accordingly and stop the bigotry and hate being perpetuated by the following:

3) Las Vegas Steve = religious anti-Muslim propaganda
4) Jenny (aka Kelly) = deletion of my answer with bias and hypocrisy.

I am going to continue repeating this answer to all of their questions unitl the Yahoo! Answers group bans the individuals from accessing this site.

Then after that you turned away. Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allāh upon you, indeed you would have been among the losers. (Al-Baqarah 2:64)

To add to Marissa's point, my great grandfather fought in world war two on the Italian front. He was also awarded a medal. I thank Allah he made it home alive.

This was Allah's talk to the Jews, not prophet Muhammad's. There is a story about a jew that used to throw dirt and trash on the prophet's back during his prayer repeatedly. One day, the jew did not do this. The prophet (pbuh) asked about him and people said they have not seen him. Prophet Muhammad went to his house and found that he was sick in bed!!!

Does this show he hated jews? He hated no one.

Peace be upon you

Salam.

Pay close attention to Marissa. She is most correct.

I can only add that a dead person to the best of my knowledge can hate no one. This is assumming that your question is intended in the present tense.

Muhammad was a Prophet and Prophets never hats any one.

One jew lady used to throw garbage on Him daily when ever He passes her house. For some day when she did not appear to throw garbage on Him, He enquered from His Companions about her. Some one said she is sick. Prophet of Islam went to her house to see her in sickness, without considering what she was doing to Him daily before. This was just one case for your reference. His whole life is full of love to every one.

I invite you to read Qura'n translation and also read authentic history and Life of Last Prophet of The God, Allah.

May Allah bless, your family, me, and my family (Ameen)

Why should he, a dear devotee of God doesn't have any such feeling as hate. After all Muslims, Kristians, Hare Krishnas and Jews all have the same God.
