Lived there for 15 years....moved 2 years ago and glad to be away! Gangs, violence, etc was on the rise. My car was broken into so many times and I lived in a very nice area. Cost of homes are ridiculous. You can get twice the house by living anywhere but California! Great place to visit, but don't live there if you want a peaceful life.

Sacramento is labeled "the city of trees". Its a pretty active town with alot of events to do through out the week. Beer is the same price as anywhere around the area and depends on what you buy. Minimum wage is 6.75 and the landscape has some spread out area to some areas that are to close for comfort. There is a great deal of gang violence , but the violvence dont beat the town im in . Stockton ,.

Winter: wet, foggy, and cold Summer: HOT..Like any urban sprawl there's good and bad areas(should crime stats to check somewhere). Landscape: flat..mountains to the east)Sierra Nevada range. Smokes: EXPENSIVE. Gas(petrol) It's Calif so the prices are high. Min wage: hhmmm better than the federal standard. Beer: cheap. Traffic? Way too much.

My aunt lives there. Basically, way too many people and cars.
Ask me why I moved to Oregon...LOL.
