my boyfriend and I have been together for a year now and 2 months ago I told him I loved him which i thought at first was a huge mistake coz he didnt tell me he loved me back but ever since then he has done things that makes me think he loves me too like he threw me a suprise birthday party a month ago and just the other day he was leaving to go to work and he came right back in i thought he forgot something but he gave me rose that he pick from outside. So what im asking guys is why would be afraid to tell someone you love them if you really do...or do you think that since he has not told me that he really does not.

If he really loves you, he should come out and say it. With that said, most guys have a problem telling a woman how much he loves her because as guys we are programmed from upbringing not to cry or show outward emotions. We are afraid that we would be percieved as weak, soft or whipped by others if we went out and told a woman we loved them.

It may be that he doesn't love you or he is unsure or afraid to, he may have been hurt by it in the past and unaccepting of it now. You have been with him long enough to sit down and talk about it with each other.

He loves you a lot. I can't believe both of you waited that long to say it. I say it in a month or two.
