Confidence in the police force? This is what would work with me:
1. Diversity training. Refreshers every month.
2. Development of multicultural relations skills.
3. Downgrade the emphasis from developing a muscle head into developing a positive contact in the community.
4. More exposure in the community, interacting with residents on a relaxed basis rather that being the show of force.
5. SEDATIVES. Hell, even camomile tea will do. So that on slow days, the need for adrenalin will not overpower their judgement.

My confidence would be enhanced considerably if there were no more reports of wrong-doing in the police force. Also more patrolling. But arming them??? What good would that do if I'm being mugged?

Professionalism, with empathy, and a dose of humour.
Train and plan like no other.
Always remember that protecting the public is the reason to exist. You have no actual power beyond this.
Help those who cannot help themselves. Injustice negates all justice.
See any humour, if it exists.
Then the public will protect the police, and questions of do you need weapons or should you patrol on foot will not exist.
Finally.
If a policeman believes his life is less important than a member of the public, then a member of the public will believe the reverse.

2 Stop sweepstakes on speeding motorists.
3 Get human,a sense of humour wouldn't hurt.
4 Think on,one day you might need my help.
5 Out of cars,onto feet.
6 Control centres, why so many questions?Act now, before they have gone.
7 Use your dissection, allow a bit of leeway.
That's all,for the moment.

to actually take your concerns seriously and actually charge the criminals, although i know that does come down to the cps, i was harrassed for being the non drug taker, legal person in a crime ridden street, and ended up having to move for the safety of my family, and it caused a lot of upset to my children, but the people involved, although i was promised the moon by the police, all got a slap on the wrist, and that was it, they are still doin g it to others, and getting away with it, and other people have had to move, surely it would be easier to charge the criminals

Maybe if they opened a new honest investigation into 9/11, I would turn into an instant fan of our boys in blue again.

the conception of community policing is to convey a police presence to the suggested community, in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that, all of it biols right down to who's God you've faith in ????, shame isn't it, in spite of each and every thing chatting with lampost receives you right into a nut residing house, chatting with an invisble entity, receives you preisthood, or if fortunate, the vatican, or Church of england or however your God might want to correctly be , its a sad truth, and not in any respect one for right here, yet chatting with invisible human beings serioulsy damages your health !
