You can add healthy forms of fat to your diet by eating more whole grains(the carbohydrates will help as well) and nuts as well as peanut butter.Things like rice and oatmeal proved very effective for me as well fo gaining weight. If you're not doing so already eat more meals throughout the day 6-8.Things like eggs in moderation are also healthy being that you'll need the protein as well. It's important to not overcook protein or use very high heat because you'll denature the protein and render it useless.A whey supplement will help as well if you're not lactose intolerant.Designer Whey from Next Proteins is 99% lactose free and hydrolyzed for better assimilation.Barring any of that working you should have your thyroid levels checked by a doctor.Hyperthyroidism is dangerous but can be cured.
Weight lifting can help as well but you haven't expressed an iterest in that.

I've always been too skinny no matter what I eat or how much exercise I do. Just toughen yourself up to the "you're sooo lucky " comments versus the "do you have an eating disorder" comments. I have been told I'm gaunt, and the person thought it was a compliment! On the plus side, you can wear whatever you want, and if you love food, which I do, there's no little voice telling you you're naughty if you have a second helping. As long as you're healthy enjoy the benefits and ignore the snidey comments.

I have the same problem, I was very thin ad people were forever asking if I was anorexic which I get really fed up with very quickly. I had a baby last year and put on weight, then I exercised to tone up and it worked to a certain extent. I dont have to shop around for tiny clothes now and I feel/ look a lot healthier.
I know a lot of people will say how lucky you are but I know I didnt feel it with my skinny pigeon legs!

Not everyone can get fat.
It depends on the speed of your metabolism... and to some extent your standing pulse.
If you really want to put on weight though, you might be better aiming for muscle than fat. Eat a lot of meat... or equivalent if you're veg. And remember this much: If you're determined to succeed then appetite won't matter so much. Just force yourself to eat and make a habit of it... That should solve your little issue here.
Oh... and get plenty of exercise. This might seem counterintuitive, but it should make you hungry... then you eat.... and eat well (i.e. loads of protein).

It's in your metaboloism. I always had trouble gaining weight too. I thought that when I had children, I would gain weight too. I'm now 34, weigh only 112 lbs. The most I ever weighed was 140 and thats only because I was pregnant.

If you need to gain weight i recommend a high cal diet around 2600-3000 calories a day . Most calories should come from carbs and fats. but dont over do it you dont want to get to fat. if you began to gain to much weight cut calories by 500. Also if all else fails you can go to your local GNC or to bodybuilding.com and buy some weight gainer.

You should talk to your doctor, because sometimes extreme skinniness is caused by hormone imbalance. If it's not, you will have to get used to your body! Don't overeat... It's a skinny age (our times) anyway. You should be happy.
