My son is autistic and I have to clean up soiling a lot and my hands always smell really bad no matter how I wash them or what I wash them with. I even purchased one of those stainless steel bars and that didn't work either. Only serious answers please. I do report point stealing.

Try washing them with Vinegar. Vinegar takes the smell away from a dog soiling the carpet so I would try it on my hands. Just pour it on and rub it all over your hands it should take the smell away. If that doesn't work cut open a lemon and squeeze it all over your hands. That should take care of it. Good Luck

Is your problem that the smell won't go away or that you want a way to prevent this in the future? Well, if they smell right now I'd suggest washing themn with tomato paste or ketchup. If the smell is really bad maybe vinegar or bleach. I'm not saying do this everytime,. This is just to get rid of the smell right now. Then in the future carry some latex gloves in your pocket or purse and keep a bottle oif hand sanitizer to use after you take the gloves off.

I am a firm believer of rubber gloves. You can use the very thin layered ones that come in a box, as in the hospital, and have them available in every room ; just grab a pair and use them. I am afraid you will make your hands raw using a strong bar of soap. It would be a more sanitary solution to use gloves. All you do is throw them away after use, and they are not that expensive.

I like that Dawn with lime in it. It is supposed to be an odor eraser. It has helped alot with the kitchen smells and the nasty cat food dishes. You might check out the cleaning section of Lowes too. I get an industrial cleaner called EZ Cleaner(in a blue bottle) because I work with some potent chemicals and that works well, too. Of course, I go heavy on the lotion afterward;both tend to dry my hands out.

have you tried a product called swarfega?
It is a dark green gelatinous substance, used to clean grease, oil, printers ink or general persistent, hydrophobic dirt from the skin. As with other such cleaners, it is drastically more effective than soap or other common cleansing products at removing such dirt; Swarfega is thus virtually ubiquitous in environments where this kind of dirt is common, such as garages and machine shops.
anyway, i;m not sure if it will help with the smell, but its worth a shot, seeming as it literally eats the grime off your hands!

Vinegar with a little lemon juice. Always use a good moisturizer after all the excessive washing.
Palmolive dish soap with antibacterial hand cleaner is good also.

You might want to try lemon juice--it is usually very good at removing the stubborn smell of fish from the hands--I work in a restaraunt and it works pretty well for me...

hand lotions after washing? try a small amount of olive oil in one palm and rub them together, like a lotion. you could always try using a small spring of thyme or another herb you like the scent of, and rub in your hands. good luck!
