There is no age limit... Some children regardless of age will wet the bed... Even some adults wet the bed...

As a parent the best thing you can do is place a plastic sheet then a fitted sheet then a plastic sheet the a fitted sheet on the bed, have a clean dry pair of pajamas on the nightstand and a clean blanket folded near by... WHen the child has an accident he/she can quickly peal the wet bedding off ad there is fresh dry bedding ready, change pajamas get the dry blanket and go to bed again...

Don't make a big deal about it the child is already embarrassed, by setting up the bed as above the child can get back to sleep more quickly and on his/her own.. Teach the child to place the wet bedding in the laundry in the morning (if over 6-7 teach them to start the washer)...

Limit fluids after abour 7 pm, take the child to the bathroom once after they have gone to bed but before you have (around 10:30 - 11:00) If you happen to wake in the night tke them again while you are up...

Some kids sleep very soundly and they miss thier bodys signal to go, some have immature bladder control... For whatever reason they have accidents (yes they are accidents the child isn't peeing the bed on purpose)....

Make sure to give your morning routine enough time for the child to get a bath/shower... The child is embarrassed enough without having to go to school/daycare smelling of urine... Sending them there smelling of urine may actually make the problem worse as they will be shamed as well as embarrassed...

Every child is different. Some may hardly ever wet the bed and others may do it all the time simply because they can't control it. Don't ever get mad at your child for wetting the bed since there is nothing they can do about it and it will only make them feel ashamed and may make the problem worse. I know someone whose daughter is 6 and still has to wear pull-ups to bed at because she still wets the bed every night because of a medical condition. She has something called bladder reflux. Always check with the pediatrician because the bed wetting can be caused by a medical condition.

You mean to old to still be peeing in the bed?
I'd say 4-5 normally, but it all depends. Many kids still wet the bed at older ages due to overactive bladders and other medical conditions. There is no one set rule for this.

Some children do wet their beds well into their teens. There are a couple of possiblities.
Fear-afraid of the dark, sleeping alone, anixety about something etc.

Deep sleep

Brain sensor not going off saying I need to get up and go

Sometimes some children are lazy and defient (generally around 3 or 4 sometimes older) "I don't want to get up"

Some less occuring example which you might consider with your doctor, someone abused them sexually (again rare), they may have to take medication for primary nocturnal enerius (you can look it up on WebMD under bedwetting.)

It varies from child to child, all of my children have been dry at night by the age of four. Medically, doctors won't consider it a problem till the child is eight. The worst thing you can do is make the child feel inadequate or pressurised because that just makes matters worse.

It all depends on the kid. Some kids have problems with their kidneys. Other kids' bladders are not growing as quickly as the rest of their body. If the problems persists into the pre-teen ages (10-12) then you might want to consider some medical intervention to see what is going on.

I would say 6. A lot of times, it isn't the child's fault there could be an emotion problem or a bladder probem. Doesn't hurt to go to the dr. and discuss it with a pediatrician.

there is no too old. They cannot control it till there brain and boddy are ready. Some kids take till they are teenagers. Bullying them and putting pressure on them can make it worse
