In the vast majority of cases, baldness is a natural process. In men it tends to run in the family on the mother's side. The usual pattern is for the front hairline to recede while hair thins at the top of the head. In some men these balding areas eventually meet, and continued thinning may eventually occur over the whole scalp.

Some people think their balding as an acceptable part of the aging process. The first is to obtain a toupe or a wig. The second is hair transplantation. Although it is not always successful, hair transplantation is the most effective treatment known for the type of hair loss normally found in men. Baldness caused by alopecia areata often stops within a few months. Your physician may advise you to wait for this natural recovery or may attempt to hasten it by injecting steroids into the scalp. The effectiveness of this treatment is variable, and alopecia areata has a tendency to recur.

You can find a solution by googling the term 'cure spot baldness'. The free delivery takes about a month but it was worth the wait.

You can't prevent it. It happens, or it doesn't. You might lose patches of hair, or all of it. The hair might grow back, might fall out again, etc.
There is no 'prevention' for it
