Hmm...depends on the context - if I saw it in an art gallery I'd do the whole strokey-beard, wow-how-significant thing and mutter about the last nail in Christianity's corpse and how the secular world was getting its own back on the Christian doctrine that has nailed it to the wall with sin and redemption for so many years, and I might, just might, even buy the T-shirt in the gift shop, just to confuse the hell out of passers-by.
If I saw it on a Dingbats card I'd shout out "Double Cross!" and feel smug.
If I saw it on a billboard, I wouldn't look closely enough to get the gag...
Cool idea though.

hmmmmm... I think I would take it to mean the wilful rejection and disdain of the grace of God the Father, that he poured through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, i.e. crucify (reject, despise, trash) the crucifixion of Jesus (which is forever the ultimate sign of God's proved love to the sinner). And, first of all, my thought would be lead (but not limited to) to the born again and baptized with the Holly Spirit Christians who, at some point, after having practically renounced their faith (by not walking by it) now they are seeking for an easy way back.
And I'm saying this because the Scriptures say ... "For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they <<>>, and put him to open shame. (Hebrews 6:4-6)
I don't think it helps you much, but that is what jumped up to mind when I read your Q.
