Minimum wage is £ 4.50 in the Northwest last time I looked) lived there till 7 months ago). A pint of beer is about 1.60 to 2.95, and a crummy room in Manchester will cost you £ 200 a month (that's crummy though). But people survive on that kind of money all the time in the UK, don't be afraid - it's friendly enough, you'll be all right.

Whatever you get paid, you will have to pay tax and National Insurance on it...so if you get £5 an hour, at least a third of that will be deducted from your wage before you get it....
Care giving is not a "dirty job" as you put it...it may be where you are now but it certainly isn't in the UK.....change your attitude before you get here.

First of all, if you think "care giving" as a "care-less" and "care-free" job, dont go fo it seriously. Your attitude stinks, so as per your wish you better opt for a toilet cleaning job at about 5 pounds an hour, and even use some of the cleaner and cleanser on yourself too. Your soul and heart needs a full service !!

Did you may pay because of the fact there replaced into an attendant who wiped sparkling the seat etc between clientele? or replaced into it basically an difficulty-free, grimy, unmanned rest room and that they are being grasping? i will fortunately pay 10 pence to have a sparkling bathroom, on the continent this has been undemanding prepare for years and the ordinary of hygiene are greater constructive for it.
