I've been writing to this guy, and he has never responded to any of my e-mails. What's more, he's said the most awful stuff about me. I've just been so depressed about all of it. I know he's a total jerk, and I am making an *** out of myself. I usually don't do that.

you may like this guy, have the biggest crush on him, but just acknowledge this fact : he's not the one for you, he's not interested, and that's not all, he's still a wildful and rude person that doesn't care what he's doing is hurting someone

I suppose you are a lonly girl. in these situations we try to communicate with others at any cost. I think its better to stop it. dont feel angry about yourself. we human beings are all the same. I had such a thing before. the most awfull is the feeling you got after you see his reaction .you say any thing to your self. dont worry dear .do not pay attention. forget it . find a better friend.

You may be trying to convince him that he's wrong about you. You seem to recognize that all it does is get you in deeper. Get really really busy so that you can make a habit of not needing to put yourself in his head. He will never agree with you anyway.
