Because usually people are drunk and horny at that hour.
Yawning doesn't have anything to do with being tired, it has to do with the body not getting enough air when you breathe. That is why one yawns, and not getting enough air makes you drowsy. The eyes are like a message to the brain, telling it that I need more air. People don't realize how shallow they breathe. I have been given oxygen at the hospital quite a few times because I breathe so shallow, and told to take deep breaths during the day to make sure I am consuming enough oxygen. I do this a lot now, or else I will feel faint, but I imagine I am a more shallow breather than most.

i'm sounds asleep sweetheart so I will try and be awake after midnight so I know what you mean. yawning has to do with your brain having lack of oxygen.
