How would I handle it? Well I would probably be very upset and confused. You said yourself that you were acting as if you were infatuated. If you are "acting", then you are really decieving the other person. And yes, being deceptive and playing the role of something you really don't mean; yes that is a game. And then to just boldy say, "hey I don't like you, you didn't think that I liked you did you?" Well that just sounds and seems very insensitive. No matter how you feel, it is never acceptable to play games with someone's feelings. It can be very hurtful and damaging. Be honest and upfront.

I don't think that it may be a game maybe a crush of some sort, maybe that person is to shy to say so or on the other hand maybe they really want to be very close friends, I have one my self, he would lay down and die for me he is the best friend that only most people dream they could have. Look into the matter a little deeper before judging that person, be honest and talk to that person and tell that person how you feel your never know it may turn into something more and if not you could just have a really good or close friend. sunnydays

Yes, that is not only a game, it is a supremely foolish one. I personally would try to take the high ground and just ignore you/drop you from my social circle because anyone who does that is clearly an idiot fishing for attention. Others may not be so kind, however. As another respondee pointed out, that's a great way to attract a stalker.

That probably would not be a game a person can take you serious don t play that kind of game unless you know someone very well to play that game if you do it to a stranger you don t know what he or she reaction going to be they reaction could be dangerous to you.

That's very mean and dangerous. If you've ever been stalked, you would know messing like that can get you killed. If your gonna be a prick tease, plan on getting a gun.

...are you DENSE? of course that's playing games! You would be leading someone on, and I would probably be inclined to smack you, or at least, you would have lost my trust, and I would not be inclined to be your friend anymore

That person really isn't interested in you. That person is only interested in himself. Forget it.
