When I was in high school I did a do-it-yourselfer on my ankle with an ink I used in art class. I wrapped some thread around the end of the needle, dipped it in the ink, and stabbed away. I do not recomend you do this though as it turned out looking like complete crap and God only knows what side effects I could have gotten from putting that dang ink in my body... Just go professional youwill be so much happier with it.

If you've got any common sense, you won't even consider doing it yourself at home.....there are too many risks involved.

Google for a GOOD tattoo-shop in your town.....make sure this shop is a member of a tattoo-society that is known for it's well handling of their instruments, e.g.good hygiene, (so CLEAN insturments / the right ink, stuff like that)......you don't want to contract Hepatitus or Aids by having a tattoo done, right?

Better to have to pay some money for it and be able to enjoy your tattoo, then try to do it at home, and get an infection or something worse. (YES, I know, you CAN get an infection even tho you have it done at a good tattoo-shop, but statistically the odds on that are much, much lower than if you go mees about with needles at home)

My brother has been in prison and he told me how he got tattoos in there. They take a flame and hold it under a piece of paper. The paper turns black underneath. Scrape the black part off and mix it with shampoo (this makes it a liquid). Then makes little cuts and dump the "ink" in and that will give you a prison tat.

Homemade tatoos are a stupid way of saving money.

It's like buying an instrument without a case to save money.

You'll end up spending much more on the long run.

Don't. You can't fool around with this stuff, or else you can run the risk of infection or something worse. Just go get it done at a studio- they may cost a lot, but it's worth every penny!

i have a home tattoo that did at home when i was 16 it was the dumbest and stupidest thing i have ever done, and believe me i have done some pretty dumb and stupid things in my life. i hope you are over18 and not under 18 and that is why you want to do it at home..i don't consider it one of my 5 tattoos since i did it in a spot no one else can see..i wont tell you how to do it since you can get very sick from home tattoos also from parlors that are not clean..please rethink getting a home tattoo if you are going to get a tattoo please go to a reputable tattoo parlor..i would hate to have you get sick or something.GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

Never do a tattoo at home. it is dangerous and stupid. Save your money and go to a professional artist.

I would recommend that you don't- it's a good way to get sick unless you use proper sterilization techniques. Also, it could end up looking like crap... get a pro to do it, or go an visit a shop and ask them.
