I've heard way more than once in my life, that a man should watch how a woman treats her father (kindness, respect) because theres a very good chance, he will be treated the same, and on the same note, a woman should watch how a man treats his mother?
I'm dating a lady who is usually very mean and disrespectful, no matter what you do, or what you do for her! She dosen't even get along with her family, and she hates her dad. She really dosen't get along with anyone for to long! I love her very much, and she does have some good qualities, but she always thinks everyone is against her . (out to screw her over) She acts as if she miserable most of the time and constant drama follows her! She has problems with everyone at one time or another, and she'll never admitt if she is wrong, even if there is proof staring her in the face! Everything that she downs someone else for is a exact desciption of her own actions and faults, as she'll always blame someone else! HELP!!

No. A man needs to take notice of how a woman treats anybody. Maybe her father was abusive, maybe he has hurt her deeply, and she doesn't know how to be kind to him after the pain he has caused her. It doesn't seem like you know your lady very well. People tend to hide dark secrets from those whom they love outside of their family. They're afraid they will lose you because inside themselves, they blame themselves. "What did I do wrong?" Why did Daddy do this to me?" "I'm afraid" You need to get in touch with her inside, let her know you are there, and will not desert her as maybe she thinks her parents have. She sounds like a very frightened lady. You may be the only one to help her. I know because I am like her in a lot of ways, from what you have said, but I dont realize it until later. I had a very hard childhood, and no help. To this day I have panic attacks, and anxiety. Please be patient with her and give her the chance I never had. You will be highly respected for your patience and your fortitude. It's a hard road we must travel, but at the end of the road there is great glory.

I ever heard that before now. I think that when you are looking for a mate in life how that person treats their own family is important, but that should not be the only thing to look at. You should see how that person interacts with other people and how that person is with you. I am not close to my family but I treat them with respect and I love them because they are my family.
It sounds like the person you are dating has some major issues in her life. I do not know if this is the answer you are looking for but i hope it helped

I would say it is generally true but with some caveats. My father was extremely abusive. He raped me repeatedly and fractured my brother's skull during one of his beatings. I hope that no prospective mate will judge me as cold and uncharitable because I am distant from my father and do him no favors. I think if she treats others that way, there is something wrong but if it is only her father she treats badly then you should ask her why.

I agree. I've heard that before, and to the best of my knowledge, it's true. If I were you I'd try to get your girlfriend into some counseling. It sounds like she's got some deeper issues.
