With the rib-eye, I would go with either a good pinot noir or merlot. For the pork, go with either pinot griggio or cabernet sauvngion. As for brand, that really doesn't matter; any vintner will do. Just make sure it doesn't come out of a box, that's all that's necessary .

Usually red wine is recommended for red meat, but in fact any wine will go with red meat. If you want good quality for a reasonable cost,Cabernet Sauvignon or Rioja from Spain, Shiraz from Australia, or Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot from Chile. Avoid low-cost french wines. A lot depends on where you live as to what you can get. If you live in California, Oregon or Washington, there are any number of reasonably priced Cabernets, Merlots, Pinot Noirs that you can get. Your best bet is to find a good wine merchant and ask for a recommendation.
With pork, you can go with either red or white. For good whites, stick with Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc.

With rib eye steaks, I'd suggest a Cabernet Sauvignon. For a high end label....Silver Oak is fantastic. However, it costs $99 a bottle.
If you are looking for a great deal, go for Hawk's Crest by Stag's Leap. You can buy it for around $14.99 and it is a lovely wine.

Drink any wine you like, no book or person should tell you what do drink with what. The rule is red wine with red meat white wine with white meat. Rose with anything. Red wine at room temp white and rose cold.

(these are french wines... Côtes du Rhône)
or
any wine of PATERNINA (Rioja Spain)
Sangre de Toro or Coronas ( Penedes, Spain)
and

If you are in the UK most of these will be available.

I agree with Abuela - a few more suggestions: a New Zealand Pinot Noir could be another option, or a good Italian Barolo...

Me, in my opinion, i could bypass with a pinot grigio or pinot gris, they are crisp and lightweight. bypass chardonnay because of the fact it is so buttery and o.ok.. there isn't adequate tomatoes in there to warrant a pink. yet you are able to never bypass incorrect with a astonishing Champagne. Bubbly is going with each little thing. I advise Mumm.
