The camera lens is not working. When I switch it on the screen just shows the word 'Access' and doesn't let me click pics. The Sony service people say that something is wrong with the lens assembly. The LCD screen, flash and other parts are working fine. I would like to sell the camera because repairing it would be too expensive.

Your best bet is ebay - http://www.ebay.com
People seem to pay more on ebay for broken consumer electronics then anywhere else.

Your typical buyer probably has the same broken camera as you, thinking if he buys yours he will magically turn into a master of digital camera repair and fix it using the parts. But in reality, he will take it apart, look at all the peices; and cry.

imagine about the different day and word in case you probably did some thing that would have damaged the digital camera. possibly the digital camera bag dropped or the digital camera develop into bounced round. sounds like an inner situation that desires service.

You should have mentioned the model of the Cyber Shot. Chandani Chowk Delhi is the biggest market for such items. Precisely the Mata Stores.

Try keh.com. They buy and sell used camera equipment and may be interested in buying it. Especially if it's a problem that could be repaired.

Don't expect to get too much for it though.
