You should know basic drawing and art.
Consider the following programs in college:
1. B.S. in Interior Design
2. B.F.A. in Interior Design
3. B.S. in Architecture
4. B.F.A. in Visual Communication
5. B.A. in Art History
6. B.A. in Humanities
7. B.F.A. in Painting & Sculpture

B.S In Interior Design is a major course
I suggest take B.S In Achitecture
U can Start from Scratch...I mean not necessary u can draw

you should take course Bachelor or diploma in interior design, or design n decoration. its ok if u cant draw, its not a necessity,since most of the drawing uses computer, and you will get drawing lesson too..so no worries,if you have passion in interior design, then u can be an interior designer..believe in yourself..

if you tell them what you want to be they will tell you what you need to take, yes you need to know how to draw. besides the first year or two is getting mostly basics out of the way, so dont fuss about all that now.
