name her a gentle name . or go by her personality . i had a one eyed kitten and i names her tiny . cause she was tiny and helpless when i got her. she was with me for close to 20 year's . and she is great ly missed . she was not just my kitty .but my constant compaion, except when i worked . she saved my live . one night she woke me up while i was sleeping to discover the propane fernace in my trailer house malfuctioned and was filling the house up raw propane . one spark and we both would have died that cold winter night . along with my two small children at the time . i made her a promise that ngiht . no matter where i lived she would also be there . when i moved to montana from ks . she also went . if she couldn't have come . i wouldn't have moved . when i'd come home for a visit she'd come too. . when she died i buried her in her favorite spot she had as a kitten on my land . now i have a black long haired cat . the Kid, a minx called Bud , sissy, and baby buck . all 24 pounds of him .

Yes, I copied and pasted my own answer from another similar question:

The best way I've found to name a cat is to just wait and see what comes up and what fits him/her.

I got a cat about 5 years ago that I simply could not think of a name for her. She was a black and white Himalayan mix. One day I was sitting on my sofa watching "Charmed". This cat (kitten at the time) had climbed up on a stool that was infront of the entertainment center and was staring at the TV. When the one character "Piper" would blow things up, this kitten would paw at the screen and meow everytime. She never watched anyother show with me except "Charmed". Needless to say, she was named "Piper". She continued to watch that show with me everytime I watched it and continued the same routine until I got a roommate who was allergic. I found her a good home and she is now a very happy, very fat barn cat.

I have fostered several rescued kitties who needed a names. One would watch football with me (Dallas Cowboys). He was a beautiful solid silver and he was called "Dallas" until the day he was adoped. Another was a gray tabby who thought she could fly and she was named "Amelia" (Earhart). "Amelia's" brother (yellow tabby) was twice her size and was named "Andre" (the Giant). Now one I am currently fostering dodged a bullet with the humane society, he is named "Dodger".

Just wait and see what fits her/him. Trust me, something will.

But with the story you tell about her, I would call her "Olive Oyl" from Popeye.

I have 4 cats. The most recent one i found at work, and it was by chance that i found him, soooooooo, of course i named him Chance. Because, it was by chance that i heard that there was a kitty there, and he was only about a week old when i found him. he was cold and hungry, we started bottle feeding him and now he is about 6wks old and weaned, very cute. He also has some eye issues, he may lose both of his eyes, it is still too soon to tell. I wish u the BEST of LUCK with ur new little one.

Why not call her Sweet Pea or Mishka

I had a cat called Mishka, she was such a lady and was my baby and I love and miss her loads.

Also I have adopted my Auntie's cat and she's called Sweet Pea and she is soooo cute and definately the lady of the Manor.

I used to work at a place with a one eyed cat that they rescued. His name was "GoodEye". He was a great cat, and I loved that his name was based on the fact that he had a good eye, instead of him not having an eye. When you talked to him he looked at you with his "good eye" and that's all you noticed. It's all about perception!

I'm a fan of waiting until they show you what their names should be.

I've had cats named Peeve (my pet peeve), Sherwin Williams (looked like he had walked through paint), Dawg (a kitten I found outside of my apartment, that growled and ran to the door when someone unexpected arrived), Stunt (Dawg's son, always pushing his physical limits to get what or where he wanted) and Tuxedo (my black and white reserved and proper guy)

After Tuxedo passed we adopted a black and white kitten from the shelter. He was (and still is) a pistol. I just could not figure out what his name should be. He was constantly chewing on my necklace, earrings and rings so we decided to name him Hairy Winston Wolfe. Hairy Winston after Harry Winston the jeweller and Winston Wolfe (wearing his tuxedo) is from Pulp Fiction.

Stunt is still with me (we lost his mother, Dawg, after 19 years just a couple of weeks ago) and he and Hairy Winston make me look forward to coming home!

Good luck with your new addition. I hope she gives you as many years of happiness as Dawg did me.

Pirate
Patch
Alee, since you safe harbored her. IE, since you took her out of the wind, and gave her safe harbor.
Also, depends on which day of the week you rescued her too, could name her after one of the days of the week, IE Tuesday, Monday, Satday, or Saturn. Jade since she is a Siamiese.
