First, for all of the "quick and easy" weight loss diet pill suggestions, remember, if something sounds too good to be true... it probably is, particularly if you have to pay for it.
On Yahoo!Answers I find certain questions being asked repeatedly which is simply a reflection of new people participating. A couple of common questions amount to "How do I lose weight," or more specifically, "How do I lose abdominal fat?" I have gotten very positive responses from my answers when I paused to reply (and now beginning to get "It works!" emails that are very gratifying. I like helping people)... so have recently decided to put a good solid answer on my Yahoo!360 Blog (September 10) that I can point people to. These are my thoughts as a physician and athlete.
Don't target losing more than about 2 lbs per week. If you try to lose faster, your body will go into "starvation mode" and get very stingy about burning calories while at the same time very efficient about storing any calories that you do provide. And it will make you feel awful.
There is no site specific way of losing fat... the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn't true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below.
The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.
Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.
To lose a pound of fat, you need to eliminate about 3500 calories. You can do this by burning more with exercise or by modifying your diet to reduce intake. If you do a Google search on say, "swimming calories" you will quickly find a website with tables of calories burned for a given exercise. You can use such lists to estimate how many calories you are burning up with your routine.
For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. It is easy with online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search engine) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet.
Fat gives you 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet... that isn't overly restrictive. Of note, you need some fat in your diet. For instance, the body uses fat to produce hormones. Once you have a picture of how to modify your diet, you can drop the diary and just go back to it occasionally if you are wanting to tweek things further.
There is a subset of questions that goes further and asks about "How to get a six-pack?" The answer is the same. Six-packs are 20% abdominal exercise and 80% diet. There is one caveat... abdominal muscles will form in the position that you work them, so be certain to pull them tightly toward your spine while doing crunches, etc. Also, during most lifting, the "core is active" which means that you should be stabilizing with contracted abs then too. Fail to do this and the abs will form, but bulging outward and the result is not attractive.
If you are trying to build muscle as a way to lose fat, then you may need to increase total calories and specifically your protein intake. I target about 0.8 g of protein per pound of body weight each day when actively building. That is far more protein than most people need in their diets.

Helpful Tips to lose weight
Many people are really exasperated with the same old tips for weight loss. Therefore we have added a few different tips to lose weight below:
Always find a chance to move around. Do not use a vehicle if you are able to walk. Preferably run around if you have the time. Almost 70% of your calories are burned in this process. Instead of depending on magical ways to lose weight, apply your own efforts by eating less and moving more.
Reduce your junk food intake and stick to wholesome foods such as fruits and vegetables. Imagine your body as the machine to burn your weight and actually perform the workouts.
Do not plan dieting because it is not a solution for a longer duration. You can easily feel tired by following a particular diet pattern for a shorter duration. It reduces your rate of metabolism by draining away the water content and retaining the fat content.
Schedule an exercise program almost daily and gradually increase your workout. Reduce one spicy meal in a week and work towards healthy meal consumption.
Think in realistic terms and decide to lose about one to two pounds per week. Even if you lose weight rapidly you will revert back to the original weight soon. Contact people who have successfully lost weight and follow the same procedures they have tried out.
So if you follow these tips you are sure to achieve your targeted goal and lose weight consistently.

I'm rootin' for ya but try to set lower goals and then make new ones once you have attained them. Too large of a goal can be pretty overwhelming. A lot to losing weight is through your diet, stay disciplined, along with exercise of course.. you'll be there in no time. Contact a nutritionist as well as get a personal trainer, it's harder to find things through the internet and can simply seem like your just being lazy or finding an easy way out. Good luck.

There is no QUICK way to lose weight - unless you are using unhealthy ways trying to lose it. Losing weight takes time and a whole lot of patience ant total full dedication. If you go and try some sort of easy way out, you are going to gain your weight back and then some. Eat right grains, minerals, no sodas, salt, fatty, fried, alot of carcohydrates none of that. Nothing diet free because it slows down you metabolism. Eat veggies, fruit, salad, fish. Work out, you can speed walk atleast 20 minuites a day and strap weights on your ankles and arms it helps build muscle which burns fat. If you can jog or run thats even better, try the weights also, crunched, sit-ups with your arms crossed at your chest not behind your head/neck you don't want to strain ny muscles, always stretch before excercising. Aerobicks is a great excercise.

You can lose weight by going on a healthy diet and exercise plan. To start do this . go on a diet eat around 2200 calories a day. most of these calories should come from low fat protein sources such as turkey or chicken. To maintain muscle mass you need around 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per po9und of body weight. so make sure you get that protein. you need to keep as much mucsle as possible. muscle is what burns fat. the more you have the more calories you body burns. so adding heavy weight training 3 times a week would help. not only to add muscle but to burn calories. Also you MUST do some type of cardio 30 min a day 3 -5 days a week. The higher intensity the cardio the more calories you will burn throughout the day. as far as cardio goes you can just run if you dont want to spend money. running is a great way to lose weight.
so heres a plan
monday = weight training Arms
tuesday = 30 min run
wednesday= weight training chest
thursday=30 min run
friday= weight training what ever body part you want to look better
saturday= 30 min run
sunday= rest
do this while staying on a healthy diet around 2200 calories a day. you can go lower on the calories butshoulod never go lower than 1800. going to low can cause your body to go into survival made and actually store more fat.If you cant do the weight training just do cardio (30 min run) but make sure to get plenty of protein. a good way to get more protein in you is to drink a protein shake once to twice a day or how many times you see fit.
Also i suggest if your really interested in getting in shape to got to www.ast-ss.com and sign up for the max-ot program. It offers a lot of training info and is totally free. it will also show you weight training excersises and they Qs and As section can give you a lot of info. Good luck on losing the weight. just make sure you do it healthily

There's no real way to do so. You can go on a crash diet, but that severely negatively affects your overall health. There's diuretics and liquid diets such as the Hollywood 48 Hour Diet, but these all only eliminate water weight.
In short, the only tried and true method is patience, exercise and a healthy diet low in carbs and calories.

Amputate your leg.
No, seriously, a safe weight loss is about 2 - 3 lbs per week. That makes 16 - 25 weeks to lose the weight.
Start by seeing your Doctor, the n get on a sensible diet. Walk everywhere. Drink a lot of water. (None of these cost a penny.)
Can I ask you a personal question? What's it like to be overweight? I'm so skinny my health is in danger, yet I eat so much...
Answer via email, if you like. I'd really like to know.
Sincerly,
