I think it's possible to love someone you've physically never met, but only after a long time of knowing them (like a year or so) and you have to be sure they are who they say they are (it's actually not that hard to find out if you put two and two together).

However with that said, I don't think it's possible to fall IN love with someone. I've always thought that there's a difference between "I love you" and "I'm in love with you" or loving someone and being in love with them. You love your family, but you're not IN love with them (I hope). You love your friends but you're not IN love with them (well..depends). But you get my point, I'm sure.

How do you know this woman is really who she appears to be? Can't really tell over the internet, because we all fantasize about what the other person may look like or be like on the other side of the computer. Be careful, because the net is pretty fishy. I don't think you can really love someone over the internet unless that other person is really truly being themselves over the internet. Rarely is the case, because when we are on the internet, instinctly we want to create an attractive image. The internet is an escape for a lot of people. You can never be too sure.

From my friends experience it can't hurt trying. I know two friends who have picked up with partners from the net. I'm not sure if you live near this person or not but definately try to make the effort to meet her etc. If it doesn't work out put it down to life experience. I know some relationships don't work out but so far I have only seen positive outcomes.

Honestly, it can work. My g/f and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary today after meeting from online. But we knew eachother online for about 6 months before we ever met. Honestly, I like it b/c if you can love someone sight-unseen, then you know the purest form of love. Too many people go by looks alone......

Good Luck!

It's still too early to say cos you have not met her in person yet. There are 1,001 topics you have not talked about yet. You do not know what turns her off, although she may know what turnsyou on,.

But the answer to your question is YES. Just that it may not be "real love'. May be it's infatuation. May be not. Time will tell.

I have a friend who met a girl online and they are inseperable. My girlfriend met her ex online and it was the worst relationship anybody could be in...so you can love someone you met online and whether it works or not depends.

Meet up with her, find out more about her, make sure that the "Her" isn't a "Him".
