Try sitting in a chair with your feet around the legs of the chair.. grab the back of the chair and pull yourself around as far as you can go.. then try to pass that point.. You will find this easier to do on one side more so than the other. Indicating a slight atrophy of the muscles of that side. When they are stretched sufficiently to have equal rotation, you will find there is much less need to have this correction in the back. If you lean forward a bit as you are rotating, you will stretch the corresponding muscles higher in the back..

You may also need to become aware of your one hip being higher than the other..thus, the problem a bit higher up.. involving the spine itself.

Trying this yourself based on what you may see here or read online has the potential to lead to very negative consequences (ie, separated discs or cracked vertebrae, even paralysis).

If you really feel like it would be better, see a chiropractor or someone who's trained to do these sorts of things.

Have someone stand behind you that can lift you easily. Fold your arms across your chest and have that person lift you holding your arms. If it doesn't work or help go to a Dr. It shouldn't be that big of a deal. Happens all the time. Just be careful and don't let someone do it too hard or fast. Once you try it I think you'll get the idea.
