The Father of Psychology thought man desired to be good and basically was . is that a presumption on my part ?
the same kind of thinking that caused the problem can't be used to solve the problem
and when one tries the same thing over and over without results that defines insanity these two presumptions some might say came from a wise old man who was seldom refuted in reality : Albert Einstein so now I hear people saying to me they know better than Sigmond Freud and
Albert Einstein whom this question is based on ...give me a break !

I'm not sure I've understood your question. If you mean to ask if people would be better without religions, then my answer is yes.

If you want to know what would make the world better, I think that some things would have to go, like power (political, religious, money, etc.), and others would have to change (values, principles, etc.).

With the pretense of God. Socrates and his philosophers examined this, an other before him. People obviously are not good or moral. They may know what it is, but they choose not to follow it. They choose not to follow it because they feel there would not be any consequences for their actions, since the feel they aren't going to get caught by the law. But with the concept of God, there is an all seeing eye that will catch u even if no one else did. The purpose of the concept of God is to scare people to conforming to their conscience and give people peace of mind about the situations they can't change. Without the idea of God, imagine all the things EVERYONE would do if they felt that when they die, there was nothing after that; it would be a society where everyone is out 4 them self without regards to anyone else.
Yeah, it's kindof the same thing now, but it could always get worse, and the way things are going it will. Most people don't truly believe in God any more; even though they say they do.

The world you see is the best that humankind can achieve on its own.

Your first presumption there is gigantic...and, as such, gigantically erroneous.

If mankind was basically good and moral, we would be seeing a basically good and moral world.

What you are seeing is a world that is the result of a serious problem that humankind has with God.

what do you base that presumption on? Each night I turn on the news and get reminded that mankind is not basically good or moral.

Great question.

A proper education. Not math and English, but an education of why people are the way they are. Truly help people step in someone else's shoes.

judaism believes that people are born moral, intrinsically pure and free of sin, but sometimes its hard to look at the world and believe that its true.
