Even through all the chaos religion and stubborn mankind initiate, there must be a reason why we're all different...in order to learn our differences from one another and accept those differences as we grow closer together while becoming wiser with our actions. Therefore, religion has been created only to make us distinct from one another and more special as individuals. Religion is maybe a good base for some, but it doesn't mean it should come to the level of excluding others. I truly think the creator is in charge and therefore I remain optimistic that as we advance with intellect, we will advance with open-mindedness towards each other. The crisis we face nowadays is the only way a lesson will be learned about working together rather than all this religious finger pointing.

zarehg2001,
Sure. It's okay to respect other religions. Until you are attacked by them. Then religion can go out mthe door, and the attacker is treated like an enemy, physically. The words you see that are against the Muslims are typical to wartime thinking. I wnat Muslims to live in peae. But when you look at the so called "prophet" and then see what they are doing, then we start putting two and two together. They are not going to be happy with living in peace. They might have at one time, but they do not now. That world is over. And the fact remains, they hate the USA. And the Liberal Politicians are feeding on that here.

So, evil has minifested in this world in a way that it never has before. It has religion at it's base. And the ones that they are trying to kill the lifestyle of is ours. I think that taking it a little personal is in order. Who wouldn't be. Just because they put thier money in a war machine doesn't mean that they can use it to walk on us.

"Don't tread on me."

Hiya,

Well, I think Exodus 20:1-3 is pretty clear about it, also Isaiah 44:6. There is only one God. He's got His character, will, personality, etc. It's not that we call the same God in many different ways. Jesus said 'I am THE way, THE truth and THE life' (John 14:6). I think tolerance has got it's place, and we really shouldn't look down the other people because of their faith, and God doesn't want us to do that. But He wants us to know the truth about Him, and the source for it is only the Bible, which is His revalation to humanity about Himself and about the way to find Him. So if there's only one God who can help and save you, why would I agree with other people who say that this is not so clear, when it really is? I think it wouldn't be a help to anyone. You have come to know God if you want to be saved, and this is a truth we should never compromise.

The Hebrew scriptures are full of examples of God punishing his own special people cause of them failing to worship him alone, but commiting Adultury with false gods. That's how he compared it, cause Israel was in a covenant relationship with him. The same with Jesus Christ. He formed a covenant with his followers. One thing which He specifically said was that his true followers would have love among themselves, but that the world would hate them in John chap 17. He also gave the Golden rule but then told people to go thru the narrow gate, because broad and narrow was the road leading off to destruction and many are the ones going into it, wheras narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading to life and few were the ones finding it.Matthw 7 12- 14

The creation tale in Genesis is the only one from historic situations that holds up in contemporary situations. different cultures around a similar time had the universe getting into life after a conflict of the numerous gods. often the earth and persons have been made by using the prevailing gods from the physique aspects of the ineffective gods. Kinda stupid. you could desire to realize- a million. The intro to Genesis replaced into written partly as a reaction to the pagan creation myths 2. The creation tale in Genesis is poetic 3. Well, how many religions did Jesus start? Only one!!!
The book of Acts 9:1,2 speaks of Saul (later known as the apostle Paul) setting out to arrest those who belonged to "The Way". This was what Christianity was referred to back then.

There was just one "Way" as long as the apostles were alive. They knew that there would be dissentions within the christian congregation once they had died. Acts 20:29,30 says: I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among YOU and will not treat the flock with tenderness, and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.

This is the reason there are so many dissentions and sects within Christianity.

Jesus himself spoke of only 2 ways - one is broad and spacious and the other is narrow and cramped (Matthew 7: 13,14). The broad one leads to destruction (false religion) and the narrow one leads to life (the one true way).

While there are people who say that all religions are the same, we know from Bible history that God has never advocated that fact. God does not change - nor do His principles. It is better to worship God in the way He requires, rather than to assume that our way is acceptable as long as it is Him we worship. (John 4: 23, 24)

people like too fight, And every one has a religion i mean look at all the questions. Every body is looking for a purpose and meaning for their existance. Yes we will grow and mature but that begins with the fear of our Lord Jesus Christ. until then we lean on our own understanding and go no where.
Yes, people are just people and i personally like the differences.
Every body alive is a story for me and have some thing from which i can learn from, people are beautiful it is just that our actions and wisdom smear that beauty.

I agree with you that God is in charge and that we should be open minded :)

Having said that...

To the extent that it is possible for me to know anything, I know that the Christian God exists and that I am in a father-child relationship with Him.

See below for some reasons why I can be reasonably and rationally certain of the truth of the Christian God.

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ.

Accept the Magic Soul Fairy into your heart, that is the only way to be touched by his Wingedness and be saved. But your soul must be clean, a dirty soul will remain untouched.

Nothing's wrong about believing anything. The problem is when you put those beliefs into action. For example, when you put into action your belief that there even IS a god.
