well we only have one for one -- ALMOST all of us. yes we have both certificates of marraige and birth and maybe that it would prove as a witness to you. not all marraiges are arranged -- my parents had a Love marraige while i preferred an arranged. and i am very happy with the man i am with -- if he is the head of our family, i am the princess of his castle.
well in Islam u just cant marry 4 women if they want there are rules and regulations to do so. in Islam a man cannot marry just for fun. there is a procedure and one should have valid reasons. the first most important point is -- a man in Islam cannot remarry WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF HIS 1ST WIFE. only if the 1st wife permits , should that man marry or else the marraige is null and void.
the reasons for men to remarry are:
1. in case where the 1st wife cannot have a child, in those days there was no IVF or Artificial Insemination. so instead of having a temporary marraige or Muta, the verse was revealed that said that a man can remarry. and in this case, only if the wife disagrees to have an adoption.
2. in case of wars, where a lot of men die and there are many women who are left behind. so instead of such widows who have to live their life alone, the prophet and Holy Quran agreed for the man to remarry. NOTE: in christianity the women were shaved bald so that they would not remarry. in Hinduism, they practised a religious Ritual of Sati, where the widow was burned alive with the dead husband. but it was Islam that said that widows should have equal rights to widowers.
3. during epidemics, where in case if men die and there are a lot of women left back as widows.
4. when there is poor and orphan girl with no one to take care of, and when no man agrees to marry her -- then with the permission of his first wife the man can accept the poor woman. for even today in some conservative societies, they dont accept an orphan as a dauther-in-law.
5. in ISLAM on the day of marraige, the preist solemnizing the wedding will ask both the bride and groom (bride first then groom) THRICE and only if the bride accepts, the marraige is VALID. also a girl is asked first so that she will not be under the presure from the groom's answer. so the preist asks the girl first and then the groom and if the accepts, the marraige goes on. if the girl refuses, the marraige is null and void.
6. MUSLIM MEN CANNOT REMARRY IF THEY CANT SUPPORT THE WIVES AND THEIR CHILDREN FINANCIALLY AND DEAL WITH ALL OF THEM JUSTLY.

Question:
If a man is allowed to have more than one wife, then why does Islam prohibit a woman from having more than one husband?
Answer:
Fist of all you should know that an average Muslim has only one wife because its not a compulsion for Muslim to have more than one or have four wives and most marriages are arranged not all and we do keep birth records. It is prescribed that a man can have more than one or four wives if his intention is to support a needy women or if he has enough wealth and if he can maintain justice between his wives.
A lot of people, including some Muslims, question the logic of allowing Muslim men to have more than one spouse while denying the same ‘right’ to women.
Let me first state emphatically, that the foundation of an Islamic society is justice and equity. Allah has created men and women as equal, but with different capabilities and different responsibilities. Men and women are different, physiologically and psychologically. Their roles and responsibilities are different. Men and women are equal in Islam, but not identical.
Surah Nisa’ Chapter 4 verses 22 to 24 gives the list of women with who you can not marry and it is further mentions in Surah Nisa’ Chapter 4 verse 24 "Also (prohibited are) women already married"
The following points enumerate the reasons why polyandry is prohibited in Islam:
1. If a man has more than one wife, the parents of the children born of such marriages can easily be identified. The father as well as the mother can easily be identified. In case of a woman marrying more than one husband, only the mother of the children born of such marriages will be identified and not the father. Islam gives tremendous importance to the identification of both parents, mother and father. Psychologists tell us that children who do not know their parents, especially their father undergo severe mental trauma and disturbances. Often they have an unhappy childhood. It is for this reason that the children of prostitutes do not have a healthy childhood. If a child born of such wedlock is admitted in school, and when the mother is asked the name of the father, she would have to give two or more names! I am aware that recent advances in science have made it possible for both the mother and father to be identified with the help of genetic testing. Thus this point which was applicable for the past may not be applicable for the present.
2. Man is more polygamous by nature as compared to a woman.
3. Biologically, it is easier for a man to perform his duties as a husband despite having several wives. A woman, in a similar position, having several husbands, will not find it possible to perform her duties as a wife. A woman undergoes several psychological and behavioral changes due to different phases of the menstrual cycle.
4. A woman who has more than one husband will have several sexual partners at the same time and has a high chance of acquiring venereal or sexually transmitted diseases which can also be transmitted back to her husband even if all of them have no extra-marital sex. This is not the case in a man having more than one wife, and none of them having extra-marital sex.
The above reasons are those that one can easily identify. There are probably many more reasons why Allah, in His Infinite Wisdom, has prohibited polyandry. AND ALLAH KNOWS BEST!

Yes, muslim allowed a male to marry up to four wives at one time but it must be based on justification - have much wealth, loving, caring and quality time with family equally.
If dont just marry one wife only.

If you want to learn about Islam you ask Scholer, not here. The Husband is allowed to see the wife breastfeed, there is nothing wrong in that but that is something that the husband would want to do, so its his preference. Some do not like to see such a thing which is agreed by some non-muslims also.

can you imagine how many shoes there'd be in the house if there were four??
and no, not all marriages are arranged. you can request your parents to have it arranged for you if you don't know anyone. but knowing someone does not mean dating them. its a different concept.
