When you are pregnant your body uses what is usually expels every month as "cushion" for the baby. So no you will not have a period during pregnancy (maybe one small one the first month). Her body will change alot in the next months to accommodate the baby and then the birth. Some birth control is used to regulate periods, usually the oral medicine taken once a day, which will let you have a period every 28 days. Some birth control "the Shot" will stop periods all together. She needs to talk to her Dr. And for you, maybe the book "What to expect when you are Expecting" may help. Talk to your moms, that is the best source for information, or there are lots of web sights just google Pregnancy and see what you can find. Calm down! The more nervous you are the more nervous she will be. And she is so young to be having a baby, she does not need any added stress on her. Be her friend, that will make a world of difference to her right now. Do research together, it is all very interesting, and it will help you both.
My friend had her first child 4 days before she turned 15 and she was scared to death. I was also 15 at the time and so we found out together. Her son is now 22 and has 2 kids of his own it was a very frightening time for both of us but we got through it together.

rite let me see she was put on the pill. most pills have 21 pills of the hormone and then 7 sugar pills or just 21 pills and then you have a 7 day break usually when on the sugar pills ( or break) you get your period if she has not been talking the sugar pills and just skipping and starting the hormone pills again she will miss her period. alot of girls/women do this when they are going on holidays and don't want there period or are just plan sick of bleeding once month.. I used to do it alot when I was younger.. there is no harm in it .. it just means that the next period you have could be stronger... and for the pregnancy thing if she is pregnant she will not get her period until 4-8 weeks after the baby is born. And she should not be on birth control. Obviously the doctor knows she is pregnant or how else would he been able to date the baby. he would have told her to come off the pill and she should be getting check ups from them... I hope this has helped I recommend you both ( if you are the father) buy a book on pregnancy, birth and parenting get a list of questions together that you don't understand and go and see her doctor and together talk about this until you do understand everything it is bound to be scary. Even if you are not together anymore you need to be there for her and the baby. I hope this has helped....

A woman does not have her period while pregnant (or in this case, a girl). Taking birth control pills usually regulates a womans period. As to why your girlfriend, um, ex-girlfriend didn't have her period prior to becoming pregnant is not something I could answer. Only her doctor could determine that. She should start having periods again after the baby is born. If not, she should be seen by a doctor to determine what's going on with her cycle.

Most women do not bleed during pregnancy. That means no periods for at least 9 months and longer after the birth ( a few months or longer if she breastfeeds) Has her pregnancy been confirmed by the Dr? Anyways bottom line - normal pregnancy=no period. Id suggest reading a few books on the subject...

After reading your question, I'm confused too, but I'll try to help.
I was on birth control to help regulate my periods too. They do not make you not have a period. There must've been something else going on that she either didn't know about or just didn't tell you about.
She will not have a period at all while pregnant, either. And if she is pregnant, and still taking the birth control pills, she need to stop immediately.

birth control pills caused me not to have periods. the doctor kept changing my pills to try to make me have regualr periods, but i ended up pregnant because of the changes in hormone levels from all the pill switching.
there is a pill out there that stops a women from having her period for several months at a time. my daughter started her period at 10 and we considered using that pill.
she should not be taking the pill while pregnant.
normally women do not have periods while pregnant. though, it is not impossible for a woman to bleed while pregnant.
good luck to you and your girlfriend.

WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS THAT YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS PREGNANT AND SHE STILL HAS HER PERIOD, OR YOU ARE CONFUSED AT WHY SHE DOESNT HAVE HER PERIOD? IF YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS PREGNANT SHE SHOULDNT BE HAVING HER PERIOD...IT IS VERY RARE THAT A WOMAN WILL CONTINUE HAVING HER PERIOD WHILE PREGNANT. DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF BIRTH CONTROL SHE IS USING, YES IT CAN STOP HER PERIOD FOR A WHILE, ESPECIALLY IF ITS THE SHOT, (INJECTABLE BIRTH CONTROL EVERY 3 MONTHS OR SO). ALSO, IF SHE IS PREGNANT, SHE SHOULD NOT (EMPHASIS ON SHOULD NOT) BE TAKING BIRTH CONTROL, THAT IS NOT GOOD FOR HER OR THE BABY!

If you are pregnant you normally don't have a period for at least 9 months. Of course if the woman decides to breastfeed then it can be even longer.

you are young and it can take several years for your body to create a regular cycle for your period. plus you are on birth control which will mess with it as well. as far as I'm aware pregnancy tests cannot be falsely negative and if you have no other symptoms theres no reason to think you are pregnant.

THE girl is NOT too young to be pregnant, girls often begin menstruation at 13. However, most girls have no period at all during pregnancy, and those that do only report occational spotting. For most girls no period =definite pregnancy.
