True, I think it's because both religions compel there followers to impose religious doctrine on everyone else.

Because the religions were invented by war like people and not by God. Christianity, for example, was defined 325 years after Christ, when those in power thought that seizing Christ's name for manipulating the rest would be a good idea, because he was so popular.

Wars are the main feature of human history and the religions are really unimportant. They are just banners used by those who want to send others to war to fight on their behalf, based on their own material greed. Each and every war was about power, wealth and influence. The religion was just a deception. That is so the case even today. Only naive people argue about religious details. A smart person sees the real perpetrator in those who are in power and pull the strings of war behind the scenes.

But, the good news is that humanity will move on. Read "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website. It is a fast growing knowledge about God and the Universe which will sooner than you may think replace religions. Then the war lords will have to think of something else to satisfy their own hate and greed.

I don't think they are the two religions who have caused the most bloodshed, i think they are the two religions that tend to have some of the most Radical "believers" (Ex: Al Qaeda for Islam) that is, people that claim faith but practice it beyond the realities of the religion.

Generalizations are slowly making people more and more ignorant about the truth.

Christianity and Islam have the whole exclusively correct fallacy, which lead to their problems.

Judaism's barbarisms were so long ago its not really comparable... (very few claim that the conquering of what we now know as israel, in the bibical times, was not a rather bloody affair... it was)

modern stuff, well, thats a war initiated by arabs attacking civillians, and the hiding behind their own civillians.

.
Oh my, you need to READ a bit. All cultures have had wars, or they no longer have their culture. NO exceptions!!
Constant tribal wars in Africa way into prehistory.
Island kingdoms around the world always fighting back to the time each island was first settled.
Hindus battling other Hindus and Buddhists fighting Buddhist and that goes back thousands of year.
Tribes of monkeys even fight and kill other tribes of monkeys.

.It is thought that more modern species of human killed off the Neanderthals

What a stupid question that was. Jeez

True Christians are not war-like. At John 13:35, Jesus taught his followers that love was an identifying mark of true Christianity. He even said that they should love their enemies. Instead of going to war, true Christians have already beaten their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. And they do not even LEARN war anymore. See Isa. 2:4.

Christianity and Islam do have quite a violent streak but they are hardly alone. Poverty and social injustice do have a lot to do with the violence. To keep the poor from preaching justice and compassion to the rich, the rich preach humility and patience to the poor, and when that doesn't work, they preach fear and zealotry. And too many fools are willing to substitute an enemy they can get at.

not because either are especially religious both are as phony as ignorance gets and that's the primary reason it is so difficult
to turn around ..stop the clubs or stop the cults and ignorance and murder and false pride and greed all the same suit hiding behind phony beliefs can be more easily dealt with through re-education .....not under the shield of falseness religions provide
unintentionally....

No they are just the only religions that you know anything about. Obviously that is very little. Do you think the Greeks never had wars. The Romans? Do you think Atheist never had war? Do you think at all?

Are you asking because you don't know? Yes I think you are! While your at it whay not ask the communist leaders why they're so war like, and while your at it why not build a time machine and go back and ask Hitler why he caused so much bloodshed. Oops I forgot he wasn't religious was he?
