Well then, what shall we talk about? The fuss seems to erupt when an ignorant question is asked and knowledgeable answerers respond. It can get testy at times but it IS a conversation. If it bothers you, why not click on something else?

As long as my tax dollars are spent by fundamentalist born-again fools starting Crusades to claim the oil lands and kill the nonbelieving population there with bombs and land mines. I need to step up and speak out against the beliefs driving this insanity.

A hundred years from now, do you think an objective viewer would find it unreasonable to ask why the US citizenry didn't protest their money and sons/daughters being used to destroy the physical infrastructure of Iraq and kill so many thousands of its people? To me, far too many people are perfectly happy to allow this to happen because the people who live there are Islamic, and it is somehow laudable in their eyes to persecute Islamic people indescriminately.

When religious belief doesn't trigger this kind of apathy or acquiesence, I'll be content.

1) "Get your heads out of your asses" is not a good way to ask people to quit insulting one another.

2) I'm an unbeliever who doesn't give a damn about what other people think. My purpose here is not to convert anyone.

3) I'm not going to stop fighting religions until religions stop trying to govern MY life. I'm an unbeliever in a country that supposedly accepts freedom of religion. But I have to live according to Christian standards. How fair is that?

when you judge you are going to hell. that is what is stated in the bible, so that is what the atheists wont to do. it is in there plan.to make as many christian go to hell . because even if they don't know it. they are vehicles for the prince of the power of the air, the devil as mentioned in the holy bible.so go ahead and put down the people who do not believe as you do and you will go where you think they are going. a damn paradox isn't it.

God gives us all free will and that will is the choice to do the right thing or wrong thing in this context.
