For some reason the war-like religions are Christianity and Islam. So they should just ban those two and the world would probably be a much more peaceful place.

I do not understand that how come people do not understand that these wars are totally political. The 9/11 was given a religious face because they did not want to tell the people about policies. If 9/11 had religious reason, they would have attacked Switzerland and Sweden. I do not exactly know what was their agenda to attack USA. The only thing I know is they were wanting the USA to leave Saudi Arabia and they were asking USA to free Palestine. These to me are not religious reasons.
The average IQ of Americans is about 100 but I do not understand how do they get brainwashed so easily. I try to analyze a lot more and not what some TV channel is telling me. The media has their own agenda and there is a reason why they cannot always tell how it is.

real cute, yeah and godless men are going to do such a great job at peace. Hey study your history godless men killed innocient people and greated the most wicked and evil empires this world had the misfortune to endure. And those who say they were of god, were not, they just use the name to get their way. Need examples, look around at this advanced society, not doing a very good job so far, so lets get rid of religion, yeah thats the problem. Oh yeah and it wasvideo games and Marilyn Manson that caused those teenagers to shoot up columbine, the problem is people, not god.

No. If you BAN religions, people will always be able to say you've censored them. You'd better work for people to walk away from religions WILLINGLY. That's going to take a lot more time, but eventually the results are going to be much better.

Well, that's not going to happen, but its true. Religious communities are more about being social then actually having a social conscience. If people were more "spiritual" and just practiced the do on to others philosophy the world would be a much better place.

Basically relegions were made to keep the human beings control, not to behave like animals. There may be some differences between one relegion to another and people hurts.
But when there is no relegion at all and people doesnot have any fear about God, who punish you when you do wrong, certainly there will be a still ugly situation than what we are facing with differences in relegion.

They tried that in Russia and China. You know what? It didn't work. Not only did they slay millions of people, but many faiths thrive under persecution. Imagine that John Lennon! Sometimes I wish there was a way to ban stupidy. Poof I'm out of here!

judaism had been around for awhile when rome banned all religons but its own pagan version.. and thus christianity started... after christianity was started, islam was 'created' because christians were confused... every once in awhile there is always a new rift of a religion which starts a new church/mosque and besides people created religion when there was none to begin with... if you outlaw it, it will only cause people to worship it illegally until it gains enough following it outnumbers the law of the land

Great idea, but I can't see it happening. There are far too many people out there that just can't take responsibility for their own lives. I don't know how they can make it from one day to the next.So many of them see things from a warped perspective. The other day I heard some fool on the radio say how he thanked god for saving his son after a bad accident, and I thought that if it had been my kid, I would have thanked the EMTs that had gotten him to the hospital, and the doctors, and the nurses. Now who but me would think of something like that?
