It does sound like an infection..No, its not normal..the biggest danger with uterine infections, is that they can lead to pyometra, which is deadly if not treated...

Can I ask why you haven't made an appointment to see her vet? If you were hemorrhaging for 3 weeks, you would probably like to find out the cause, wouldn't you?
Since you are asking on here, I would guess that this is not normal for your pet, so that should have raised a red flag - no pun intended. Please take your dog to the vet. She needs an exam, and now. There could be a severe uterine infection, or a cancerous mass. At 14, her female parts are not in their prime. You need to find out what is going on.

It's especially important to get older pets in to the vet when something like this comes up. They're more fragile and need prompt care to make the best recovery.
I'm thinking this is a uterine infection, it can be life threatening, so get to a vet as soon as you can.
Good Luck

At her age, assuming she's not spayed,it is probably either an infection of the uterus or bladder,or cancer. You need to take her to a vet right now instead of asking a bunch of strangers, and waiting three weeks to even do that.If it were my dog,it would have been to the vet right away.

You should have taken her to the vet after a week of this. She is an older dog and this could be a sign of something more serious. Seek a vets help, it is not normal.

She could either be in season, or she has an infection. She needs to be seen by a vet.

she may have an infection in her bladder or kidneys, does it happen when she urinates or all the time? take her to your local vet so that if it is a serious infection then it can be cleared up quickly.
