As an american I would say that we have no right to answer this question. We have never been invaded, but have become the invaders. We have no idea what it is to live in a war torn nation. We have no idea what it is like to be afraid, not truly. I'm gonna get a raft of crap for this answer, but the truth is that we are a lazy know-it-all nation.

If I were in this situation I would fight for what I believed was right, no matter who's side it would be for. Patriotism and nationalism are okay, except when your nation is corrupt.

People must defend their motherland against any invaders. There will be peace after you have driven the invaders out. You must fight till your last drop of blood, whatever it costs you! Then there will be peace. Only cowards sit quietly at home while their country is in danger. You must fight.

This is very morally complicated; i think it depends on who was right and who was wrong, and also on which one has the potential for LONG TERM PEACE. Most of the time it is better to pick 1 because this one has the most potential for long term peace. 2 can be distasteful to some and also go against the concept of sovereignty abd right to self governance. It would also be an enforced peace in 2 and that is never a good thing. 3 is the worst one; rarely does inaction solve anything and I've yet to see what prayer accomplishes. So I think for me personally 1 is the best way to go.

Peace loving does not mean that you are a coward does it?

You fight for what is right. Is your country part of the invader's country? NO! It's yours. Fight for it. Put your preference for peace aside and do what is right.
Remember tha tthose invaders would just as soon tie your nads to a truck and drive off into the desert with them as look at you, so do what you must!

Some one who truly loves peace knows that its sometimes necessary to fight for it. Such a person would ensure that all other alternatives were exhausted before taking arms against the opponents. But should it come down to taking up arms, they would do so without hesitation or remorse and with a dedication unlike any other.

1.) Evaluate WHY their country is being attacked.
2.) Decide if the invaders are invading as a response to acts committed by their country
3.) If the invaders are invading for the purpose of religious conversion, fight them.
