Former U.S. congressman William Randolph Hearst once said: "All men are created equal in one respect, at least, and that is their desire to be unequal."
(several renouned men backed this statement)
What do you think he meant? And How would that be true?
So- is equality what all want or not?

"EQUALITY MAY PERHAPS BE A RIGHT,
BUT NO POWER ON EARTH CAN EVER
TURN IT INTO A FACT."

So said Honoré de Balzac, 19th-century French novelist. Do you agree with him?

Both those statements are very true, which is very sad. We all strive for ourselves, our community, our government, and our world to be equal, yet we don't want to share that equality. In thought it's perfect, but a person does not strive to be equal with everyone else; instead, man wants more. And society will never truly be equal, because mankind runs the government.

So, yes, it's a right, and everyone SHOULD be equal, but as long as man leads man, someone will be left out in the cold.

People confuse equality with equal opportunity. No, we'll never be equal and that would be boring. We're all blessed by G-d with different skills, talent and intelligence. That's what makes life fun. All we can offer is every man (women) the opportunity to aspire to reach for the stars without anyone or anything to unfairly stand in their way. That's what makes America such a great country. Here you can be anything you want to be. You're only limited by your own limitations.

All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others...

I think that is from Animal Farm. Or that is close to the quote as I can get.

We will never have equality because others will be richer than some forever.

some men are born poor, some rich, some with all their fingers and toes, some with too many fingers or too few, etc, etc - these guys who say all men are born equal were obviously either born blind or with half their brain missing lol!
