I totally agree with you. Generally when I ask a question it's because I want a well thought out answer. Though if someone's got a cute/witty answer I can tolerate that if it makes me laugh. I think most people just answer certain questions to gain points or to put their two cents in. If I see a question that doesn't pertain to me, however, I just move on. I think if you've got nothing worth saying then zip your lip and get to another category where you may have something to share or something to learn.

Like a number of people here, I too no longer drink, had a great time while i did, and if you want a good beer, try Baltika number 7, its russian, I drank for many years, and am more than happy to impart good drinking advice and experiance based on fact. I would agree that there are a few self righteous folk out there, but face it, lifes too short, get drinking, and enjoy it whilst you can!

Honey I have drank. Probably longer than you've been alive but I don't drink now and if I feel the need to be self rightuous because I gave up one of many bad habits I had sorry but I have every right to. I work hard to saty sober and if giving people advice on the evils of drinking do that then more power to me.

Naw... but then, not much annoys me 'cuz I'd rather spend my energy trying to taste every flavor of microbrewery beer that I possibly can in my lifetime, than worry about my nose being bent out of shape 'cuz of some stranger's opinion, to which he's entitled anyways. Shrug it off, go on with life, and y'know... I've concluded that drama is the cause of early graying.

True Yahoo answers would work best if people just restrain themselves to answering your question but a lot of people feel very strongly on their values and have to express their objection when someone goes against them. Human nature, unfortunately.

you post on this board, it is a public board, and even us non drinkers can post to ANY question that we want to. If you don't want everyone to answer you then don't post on here... We have just as much right to answer you as you do to post here... don't read them if you don't like them

They do that because it is an easy question, or they are desperate to get points.
