There is not correct religion or faith…just trust that you will follow your heart and find your own path. Living your life you will find the spiritual path that works best for you.

Aye, there's the rub!

Nobody knows for sure if their religion is the right one. I'm not claiming moral relativism here, because some things are most certainly more right or true than others (otherwise, the concept of justice is bunk). But I do think that for the person who makes a sincere effort to discover the Truth, whatever it may be, and really treat others with dignity and justice, it doesn't matter what religion you are, because you're still acheiving the same end.

It's not that all religions are the same, because they're not. Even as someone who has no religion (not an atheist, though), I think it's offensive to say that God, Allah, Buddha, and Vishnu are all the same. They're not... there are specific attributes for each. But in my view those are all just anthropomorhised representations of the same ultimate truth, because that's a lot easier for us as humans to understand.

Basically, as long as you are a good person, you'll be perfectly fine. I wish you peace.

You don't, and you can't. You cannot know that it is the right one.

If it makes you feel any better, all the other religions have exactly the same likelihood of being correct as does your own. This is because they have exactly the same amount of sound reasoning and evidence supporting them: none.

You aren't going to hell. Don't worry. Although it's possible hell exists, it's also extremely unlikely. So unlikely that it's almost, but not quite, impossible. The concept of hell is very scary, but that's only to compensate for the fact that it's also extremely implausible. Suffering for all of eternity, for finite transgressions, despite the fact that you will have no body (and likely no mind) after you're dead? The very proposition is absurd.

Not to mention that the concept of hell in christianity is internally inconsistant; god loves you, but he makes you suffer for *eternity* for finite sins? Nonsense.

Don't give up your doubt. It's something too few people have.

I'd recommend this book: "The God Delusion", by Richard Dawkins.

Man is the religious animal. He is the only religious animal. He is the only animal that
has the True Religion –- several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as
himself and cuts his throat, if his theology isn't straight. He has made a graveyard of the
globe in trying his honest best to smooth his brother's path to happiness and heaven."
(Mark Twain / 1835-1910 / Letters from the Earth)

In the long run, nothing can withstand reason and experience, and the contradiction
religion offers to both is palpable."
(Sigmund Freud / 1856-1939)

Religion is comparable to a childhood neurosis."

There are thousands of religions to choose from, and even though Christianity is large, it still only reflects about 1/3 of the population of the earth. If you want to talk about Protestantism (most protestants don't think Catholics are really Christians), they represent less than 10% of the world's population - about the same as athiests!

From a statistical perspective, odds are you've chosen the wrong religion (assuming the right religion is even represented by any of the thousands).

Don't you suppose that if there are any gods, they would be more upset about you picking a false god than they would be about you not accidentally happening upon the right one without guidance?

If I had created a rational universe, it would piss me off to no end for my pets to cling to faith instead of reason.

If there are any gods that want you to believe in them, don't you suppose they are more than capable of letting you know that in an unambiguous way?

A just god would not put you in that situation. We are only worried about just gods, because unjust gods are going to torment us anyway, and random gods aren't going to react to our obsequiousness. And we're really not too worried about the just gods, either, because they don't change anything for a person who already has their own sense of ethics. There are too many possible such gods for us to select one at random... what are we to do, go on a gut instinct? If so, what is doubt for? Is doubt not part of our instincts? Perhaps doubt is the hunch we should follow. Now, science could reasonably be looked at as systematicized doubt, so maybe there's our religion, science... Now, no religion is complete without an absurd belief that we believe in regardless of the obvious impossibility of collecting evidence of it, and science is no different, for science has, in the back of its mind, a festering belief that it can understand the world that it lives in. Good luck, science!
Nothing wrong with the basic tenets of buddhism, really. Nothing wrong with most of the ethical suggestions of any major religion. There are some strange remnants of ancient culture in most of them though.

You are asking a question that can not be answered. Nobody can know for sure what religion if any is correct. The answer you need to find out is what do you believe. If you believe in the bible than Christianity is right for you, if you do not believe than you need to find a new reliegion. As for me, I am Agnostic, I do not believe that there can be proof of God, which is not to say that I do not believe in God. I do not know what is right or wrong, I only know what I believe and that is all anyone can no.
Good luck in your quest.

Salvation is not a game of snakes and ladders with secret passages and trap doors. God is not that petty. Ask yourself, does your religion make you a better person? Does it motivate you to relieve suffering in the world? If so, stop worrying. If not, you might want to investigate some more. Some people have spent their lives searching for the right path. God is patient.

I grew up in a strict roman catholic house. I have turned to pagan druid wiccan because to me its more understandable. I understand not to do no harm and respect and gain knowledge. It is not for everyone. Everyone has the right to choose which religion suits him or her better.

Well my point of view is we are in hell we have to earn the right to go to heaven. It said that God, through Lucifier out of heaven and he fell to the Earth.. hence that's where i'm getting it from.

Everyone is opinionated on religion and other things. The only suggestion I can give you in learn other religions and your going to find out that most of them are pretty much the same with a few varients here and there.

true religion practices love (one not divided by race, culture) but willing to die for one another, trust God's word in the Bible & not going by the traditions or customs of man, strengthens families and upholds high moral standards (that includes those who are teachers of the Bible & that should set the example for those they teach). Hell in the Bible is the common grave not a fiery place of torment.
