I have a cherry pie one that I use every year, I was looking for a granola to put on top of it, but I couldn't find any, so I made my own crusty top and everyone loves it, get coconut, the sweeted one, and toast it in the oven, and whatever kind of nut you like, chopped, I get pecans or walnuts most of the time, and Craisins, I use the regular ones normally, but for Christmas last year, I used the orange flavored ones, and that was really good, it just brought all the flavor out in the cherries. Mix that together in a bowl. I get the frozen pie crust most of the time, because I make lots of pies, and I take some everywhere I go. Last year I made like 20 something pies. And I use the canned cherry pie filling. Anyway, I follow the directions on the package for the crust and then I put the filling in it and I put the mixture on top and drizzle honey on that. I bake it until the pie is golden brown. I also have a pumpkin-apple pie recipe that I use every year, it's in one of my cookbooks, if you would like that one, go ahead and email me.

Baked acorn squash.

Get 3 acorn squashes from the store. Be sure that you can't push your thumbnail through their skins.

Wash them off on the outside. Grab a big knife, and take a look at the squash. You'll want to cut it end-to-end, but you'll want to align the ridges so that there's a stable balancing surface for each half as it lays open on the pan baking.

Once you've cut the squash, grab a tbsp and scoop out the seeds and the slime. Well, it's not really slime, it's just loose squash stuff that holds all the seeds in place.

When that's done, get out the brown sugar and the butter. Put about a tbsp of butter in each squash half, then fill the halves about halfway up with packed brown sugar. Put these squash halves onto flat pans and put them in the oven at about 325. You'll be baking them for about 2 hours, and 6 halves will take up all your oven space.

When you can stick your fork into the squashes everywhere and the flesh is a nice golden-brown from the brown sugar and the cooking, they're done.

Take them out, let them cool a bit, then scoop all the squash out of the peels into a bowl. Smush it all up like taters, add a little salt to taste, and serve it up. Amazing!

I'm from the southwest so at any family get together there is Seven-Layer dip!

1 package sour cream
1 packet Taco seasoning
1 1/2 can Fritos bean dip
1 package guacamole (better if guac is homemade but still tasty!)
1 can black olives halved (you can buy them halved already)
2 small tomatoes diced
1 stalk green onions diced (only add to taste)
2 cups cheddar cheese shredded

Dice necessary items. Mix packet of taco seasoning into sour cream. In a casserole dish layer beans, sour cream/taco seasoning mix, guacamole, cheese, tomatoes, olives and lastly grean onions to taste. Serve with tortilla chips.

I do not like green bean casserole...I make this instead. I have NEVER had a complaint from anyone...it's really good!

Cheesy Broccoli Casserole

1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Lower Sodium Stuffing Mix for Chicken
2 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen broccoli florets, thawed, drained
1 can (10-3/4 oz.) 98% fat-free condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup CHEEZ WHIZ Light Reduced Fat Cheese Dip

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Prepare stuffing mix as directed on package, using only 3 Tbsp. margarine. Set aside.
MIX remaining ingredients in 2-qt. baking dish; top with stuffing.
BAKE 30 min. or until heated through.

Make Ahead
Assemble recipe as directed; cover. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. When ready to serve, bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 45 to 50 min. or until heated through.

----------

Last year I took this to my in-laws...there was nothing left...
(You might want to do a double batch for 12 people)

Everyone who has had this loves it...it it different but very good. It's also pretty sweet, small portions are a good idea!

Cherry Pineapple Crumble

1 20oz. Can Crushed Pineapple (do NOT drain)
1 20oz. Can Cherry Pie Filling

Warm Water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a cake pan (8x13) spread crushed pineapple and juice. Spread cherry pie filling over pineapple. Sprinkle cake mix (dry) over fruit. Cut stick of butter into thin pats and top cake mix with pats of butter. Bake 30 minutes.

GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE! I think the recipe is on cans of cream of mushroom soup, it's really simple but I can't recall it right now. It's good because it's easy to make, you can make a lot and everybody likes it! Also mashed potatoes and mini pecan pies are some of my favorites on Thanksgiving!

Over here in austalia our family gets together for christmas and we call it a reef and beef we have different types of seafood as well as all your meats we have a large family we cater for around 30 relies every year. seafood we have are usually prawns, bugs, fish, squid and oysters as well as meats which include steak and snags but also roast pork and chicken alot of salads and alot of vegies. The reason we do this is it is alot easier to cook alot on the BBQ than what it would be to try and roast everything.

Catered is the only way. At the age of 46 I have stayed true to my convictions and never baked a turkey.
