My daughter is 14 & very money careful so she is not asking much for Christmas. I was thinking of the X BOX 360 since she loves video games but she said its the same as PS2 any ideas?

Gift cards; my teenage niece loves them, but it feels kind of impersonal. mp3 player (check out creative labs www.creative.com don't get one with a hard drive). jewelry is another option, too.

If, by "very money careful" you mean that she'd feel bad if you spent too much, you may look into gift cards/certificates for a game trading store. If she loves video games, second hand items are a good (and cheap) investment.

At that age, my Mom would take me out to the mall and have me show her things that I liked, then she would go back and buy them. I would show her a lot of stuff, and she would pick through it. No disappointments, and no returns after Christmas. Worked out great.

Girls that age love to shop, they just don't like to use their money. They love clothes, jewelry and make-up. The best way to make them happy is give them a gift card or money so they can shop for themselves.

Tell her to choose her own Christmas gift. That way, you're safe.
