During weekends, i start to sleep at 3am in the morning. I count the number of hours i used to sleep, and it is 7-8 hours. Do you think it's ok?
Thanks!

technically not going to bed at the same time every night will wreck your sleep schedule. i had a roommate last year who always went to bed around 3-4 am, and then on the weekends would get up at 5 or 6 in the afternoon. it's better if you go to sleep a little earlier on the weekends, even if it's not cool.

I wouldn't see that it mattered WHEN you got your sleep as long as you get the amount your body needs. If you aren't getting enough rest or good sleep, believe me, your bod will let you know. I am a very bad nite owl. I'm retired, live alone except for my 2 dogs and hardly ever go to sleep before 3-4 in the morning. I usually sleep til 10-11 a.m. (all my good friends know my nite-owl habits and try not to call before noon unless it's an emergency). I get up, have my coffee and feel great. A lot of people can't switch sleep patterns like you're talking about though. Like going to bed early thru the week and getting up early to go to work and the reversing it on the week-ends. More power to ya if you are one of those that can. That way you can have the best of both worlds!!!!!

Very bad. It doesn't matter as much how long you sleep but when you sleep.

You should be in bed by 11pm, not 3am. This is because your body starts its repair processes in the night so the best time to fall asleep is at 11pm.
However, if you sleep at 3am, your body will not be doing any repairs so it makes no difference if you slept at 3am or dint sleep at all.

As long as your getting sleep it doesnt matter, also as long as you can keep up with the changing sleep pattern your fine. I work 8pm to 8am 3 days a weeks. So most of the week I sleep from 9am till 4pm. Its hard on your bosy at first but once you get used to it, its all good. But if your partyin on those weekends and not going to bed untill 3, thats not a real party lol You better be up till sun rise!!! j/k!

8 hours per night is suffficient sleep for normal people. However, as our livers and other organs start to "slow down" around 10pm, it's best to be in bed by 11pm. You will be giving your internal organs better functionality to "self-repair" as you sleep.

Sleeping at 3.00am is not ok. You should be in bed by 11.00pm but don't sleep longer than 8 hours coz you will die sooner.

it confuses your body a little, but if you feel fine, then what does it matter? it isn't like you are loosing sleep by staying up so late-- you sleep the same number of hours.
