I moved to a new apartment, and the bedroom is soooo small... I am also trying to eliminate the clutter at the same time... but I need ideas on how to get more storage space in here esthetically.

First - get some under-the-bed storage units: either drawer or pull-out tupperware containers for blankets or out-of season clothes. If you have a closet, add shelves in the back for more storage there too. A trunk at the foot of the bed is a great storage idea - and a place to sit while you put on your stockings in the morning. Consider installing shelves around the top of the room, about 12" down, for books, knick-knacks, whatever. A laundry hamper - the wicker ones are lovely - will stop you from throwing your stuff on the floor.

Hope that helps.

A small room can look cozy instead of small if done up right. I would use small furniture but have a big picture of 1large piece of furniture to make a statement. Keep all small nick knacks out of the room or to a minimum grouped together Use a light color or accent a wall with a bright or darker color. Don't be afraid to go bold. I painted my daughters condo living, dining and kitchen room which is a small open space a soft yellow and painted her kitchen celling yellow with orange in the tray part of the celling. It is very stylish and airy looking. We put large mirrors on 1 dining room wall. It brought in light. No clutter. Do things going up instead of on hte floor. Like shelf's or book case. Or a large Armor to house the TV and other things.

I always think modern furniture and bright paintings that match the room make any room look big. If everything is well coordinated in a creative way, it always looks great even if everything is in a small room. Things like lamps that twist and funky glass tables! That may not be your style, but it certainly works :)
