Maybe we need to suggest they march like normal countries. You think this might make them less "irratible". I know I would hate looking like a dork on international television. I tried to march like this in my kitchen (I am not defecting!). It made my beagle look at me strange, though.

If you study their dogma, their ideology, of all goose stepping countries, you will find them very similar..... Nazis, communists, Islamo-fascists, etc.... very similar.... re: brainwashing, treatment of religion, how they treat women and children, they way they hide behind women and children in time of war, the list goes on.... Goose steppers = crazed animals..... maybe I shouldn't lower crazed animals that low.... at any rate, they are INSANE....

Assuming North Korea's leadership went completely nuts... it still wouldn't unfold like that. N. Korea hasn't yet tested a long range missile that can even reach the continental US. But they're close. Furthermore, the moment N. Korea launched a nuclear warhead at the US a 100 more would be launched back at them. The US has global capability. They're locked and loaded. Just waiting for the command. Nuclear warheads on nuclear submarines off the coast of Korea they don't even know about. If it did unfold as you said they'd have to bomb everyone, China and Russia, for example. Even though they are not traditional American allies, they still wouldn't take well to N. Korea starting nuclear war. The entire world wouldn't. But North Korea can't destroy the world and they won't start a nuclear war.

The Stechschritt, commonly known in English speaking countries as the "Goose-Step", is a special form of the equal step, which is usually demonstrated in solemn military parades and passes in review of closed units. The marching troops swing their legs from a vertical leg to a nearly horizontally-extending one, bringing it down with a loud simultaneous stepping noise and continuing the cycle in unison. It emerged from Prussian drilling regulation during the early 19th Century.

This takes much practice and dexterity, and so the purpose of the goose-step is the demonstration of absolute discipline and superiority. Some, such as George Orwell, feel that the goose-step is also intended to look ridiculous, as Orwell said in his 1940 book The Lion and the Unicorn:

[Goose-Stepping] is simply an affirmation of naked power; contained in it, quite consciously and intentionally, is the vision of a boot crashing down on a face. Its ugliness is part of its essence, for what it is saying is "Yes, I am ugly, and you daren't laugh at me", like the bully who makes faces at his victim… Beyond a certain point, military display is only possible in countries where the common people dare not laugh at the army.

The American soldiers' training obviously teaches a better method which has the benefits of being aesthetically pleasing and at the same time conserves energy. Those wacko countries just haven't learned yet.

They want to show how "structured" , "organized" and oh so "powerful" they are. But everytime the U.S.A. slaps them they fight like the three stooges. It's is also true that it seems to me some of the forign people in this country act so miltiant and talk tough have the weakest fighting forces if any, back home and that they are here because of the kindness of the American people. Yet seem to bad mouth American's and or America after they or their parents kissed so much *** to get into this country. Sorry to shift off topic.

Ha ha ha, i noticed the same thing and have asked the same question. You should see the guards on the Pakistan border with India ( i think its India ) the way they stomp three steps and and and. How about the Chinese army? bet you cant goose step that fast. It is this tribal mentality that is the root cause of problems to our collective survival.

All this talk about goose-stepping reminds of the old Monty Python skit with the Ministry of Silly Walks.

Oriental countries are collectivist societies. That means they all strive to agree with the "popular" consesus, no matter what. Suggesting ANYTHING to them is like telling them that they are wrong, and we are right. Unfortunately, they won't listen to outsiders.
