After extensive research on your fascinating question.. I have come to the conclusions that .. well, I assume the organs are left in the body because I have found out that it takes a little longer for the people to prepare the body for the funeral after the organs are taken out. So... if a person has a funeral in normal timing after their death, I would think they still have their organs... oh, and you can not sell your organs in the U.S! (common question!) p.s. ... my question to this would be, can different organisms donate organs to each other, such as a cat to a wombat!? Interesting, huh!
p.s.s. good luck!

That really depends on how they died, a lot of the time the remains are buried without the brain, or other vital organs so tests can be conducted on them to identify cause of death. They do this to speed up the body release time, so the family can bury the remains in a timely fashion.

Someone I know recently lost her 3 year old son to unknown causes, the little boy was burried about a month ago and the pathologist is releasing his brain, kidneys and liver next week for cremation.

Yes.

They will bury them with you, regardless of who else might benefit from them. You have to agree to be an organ donor and everyone with healthy organs should be a donor.

That wish can be made known through other family members or through a living will.

They take them out if an autopsy is required, but then put them right back in. It's such a waste isn't it? People are dying, and we're burying good organs.

Yes and No. Most deaths require an autopsy. They remove your organs, weigh them, check for intoxicants, abuse etc and then put your organs back in if they are not needed. State laws vary but that basically what happens.

NO, we DO NOT remove any organs after death unless you were autopsied. People need to do their homework before giving incorrct answers, because organs are NEVER removed before burial.

Also, most people are NOT autopsied, contrary to one answer. Only about 1 in every 20 people are autopsied.

The body is buried intact. Embalming fluid is pumped throughout the body in preparation for burial.
